  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Two “narco-terrorists” were killed in the strike off Colombia’s coast Tuesday, he said. The latest strike raises the death toll from the administration’s attacks to at least 34 people.

There was a lot of money made in human trafficking during the Biden administration and the money the crime organizations now have to push drugs is going to make this a long war.

More proof of Trump’s Fifth Ave comment from his most faithful supporters.
You sound unsurprisingly disappointed that narco terrorists are being killed. I it because Trump is giving the orders?

Are they narco terrorists or do you just uncritically believe what your government tells you?

Would you even care if they weren’t narco terrorists? Probably not.

That’s the point of my comment.

Do you believe what your government tells you?
Sure. If they can make the case to the American people, I’ll believe it.

Why haven’t they?

The same reason why they "make a case to the American people" every time Obama ordered a drone strik that killed innocent civilians? Get my point? Or would you like to continue?

Yeah let’s continue. Do you think that was fine for Obama?

Another question. Did Obama ever promote these strikes like they were something to be proud of and celebrated?

It used to be presidents tried to hide their dirty deeds from the public but with fans like you I can see why this one simply doesn’t care to.

Do you believe what your government tells you?

Not this government. They lie every day.

To date, the government has presented zero evidence to back up their claims. And even if they did, the US military should never be used to murder civilians suspected of a civil crime.

We are not at war with Colombia or Venezuela.

These killings are illegal.

Your point?

There was a lot of money made in drug trafficking during the Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2, Obama and Trump 1 administrations. Maybe we should stop funding these organziations?

Truman killed hundreds of thousands of civilians in Japan. Sometimes these things happen.

But shooting a random fishing boat doesn't help anyone.

Congress could put every drug dealer out of business by legalizing the stuff and directing the proceeds toward treatment. I don't endorse drug abuse, but at least we'd have a better grip on it.

I agree. Shooting a random fishing boat doesn’t help anything. But shooting a narco terrorist boat filled with narcotics helps the entire country.

While we have problems I do pray this is moving towards the diplomatic solution of other countries enforcing their own laws.

I'm not big on this. It helps when we enforce our own borders also.

Maybe it shows my ignorance but I don't know if the cartels warrant this. I know they do a lot of bad, if it's illegal these cartels traffic in it, that's not the issue, but I do believe we have treated these people differently in the past.

And since we have treated them differently from the legal perspective in the past perhaps some leeway is in order to give adequate warning and see how much effect it is just having stepped up our own borders more.

What evidence have you seen? And no, Hegseth or his spokesperson making a claim is not evidence.

No. In any case, the point remains. The US Military should not be killing suspected criminals.
Should our military be killing terrorists?
