I'm also hearing from these false teachers that just because they were wrong, "People are still being converted!" That is another way they are trying to justify their nasty messages. But, what if they are false conversions?

There are tons of false conversions all the time. God can use this for good, but that doesn't mean that we then go around and do bad to try and cause good. That in itself doesn't even logically make sense. People are just going to keep coming up with excuses as to why they want to do something that is wrong. And what's sickening is that Joshua says this is the separating of wheat from tares. So, essentially, God purposefully lied to check people. Uh huh.... thats sickening.....

Joshua is reaching millions with his heresy and you’re discussing it here. From my perspective the larger question is what are you going to do? That doesn’t pertain to him in particular but the larger issue you’re addressing. The thread is nearly a month old and he’s still talking. When you speak of the people caught in a web are you looking at your flock? You can’t fight it from afar and must enter the battlefield as Jude explains.

Burdens present themselves in different ways. Sometimes the Lord stirs up our spirit through things that bother us or make us angry. Maybe there’s a need for people like you to debunk the lies and others are doing the same. You and @Delvianna and @peaceful-forest are raising the same concerns. Maybe you can work together. Who knows. ;-)

Christians in my country don't even know about Jesus's second coming, they don't even know what The Rapture is, and they don't even know what The End Times is. And I am not exaggerating .

At least some of them googled some stuff after Joshua's adventure.

But it affects others.
Christians believe the date setters; give away money, sell houses and maybe pronounce judgement on those who mock or don't believe.
Then the date in question passes and people write Christianity off that little bit more - just another reason why they can't believe.

I will tell you a tiny bit story about like , 2 weeks ago when I was going home from a concert with family friend.
So the 3 of us were in a car, me, family friend, and my mom.
And family friend was like: " Don't you think we are in the edge of new war and our kids would need to go on the battle - front ? "
She was insinuating that war in Ukraine will escalate.
And my first comment was: " It's never been a better time to start reading a Bible. You should totally do that. ".
And she was like : " ??????????? "
And I was like: " Second coming of Jesus, doesn't ring a bell ? ".
She was again like: " ???????? ".
See Christians in my country aren't even aware of what second coming of Jesus is. And the funny thing is: they go to Church literally every Sunday for the last 30+ years.

Jesus isn't the Father and the Father isn't the Son. The Son exercises all the power and authority of the Father but isn't the Father.

Christ is our Creator and our Lord. The Triune God is our God, which includes the Father and the Son as well as the Holy Spirit - all found in the book of Genesis.

There is, according to the Lord Jesus Christ, I thing, at least, that the Father kept of the Covenant of Redemption within the Father's knowledge alone and that is the date of the consummation when Christ returns for His Bride.

We have all the warnings we ever needed. If people don't heed then it's on them. It's not like it's a surprise - even if the hour comes as a thief in the night.

We are to live every day in the hopeful expectation of His coming while leaving plenty of room for the occasion to occur in timing that is God's alone. Be ready every day to stand before God.

When you are, the day no longer matters.

Except that these false prophecies matter because they make some parts of the church look ridiculous.
