  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Did you know that God has a calendar, too? I had no idea. I'm still trying to find that in the scriptures. These are the biggest mockers of God. What Jesus said simply is not good enough for them. They must prove otherwise!

I watch those 2 guys, and good luck with arguing with them in terms of - The Rapture isn't in front of our door. :D

Tiny bit of Bible qoutes again.

Matthew 24:38

This has aged well. <3

2 Timothy 3:2-5

This has also aged well. <3

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, are you saying you believe that Jesus isn't coming back for a while?

I am saying that all the signs we have been told have been converged , and that The Rapture can happen in next 5 minutes. :)

So yeah, one or two failed dates doesn't make a difference - we are still in the end times. And The Rapture is still on the way. :)

But I'm still going to prepare a service for Sunday.

Prepare yourself for the Heaven Flight 11:11 , or for The Great Frying, depends on what you think of Bible. :D

I watched Watchman River for a little while but then something really seemed off, so I stopped watching. My discernment tells me before logic does. Many of these watch people are just plain cookoo are doing it to grab attention and fast youtube money. Jimmy Evans I always felt like he's got a bad attitude about him. Now that the Daystar scandal has been revealed, I know why.

Agree, I hate YouTube money grabbing , but their news picks are really good. I mean I watch news every day, to prove a end-of-the-world-stuff, but those guys seem to find way better informations then me. That's the reason why I watch them. But agree, it's end times, you don't need money.

I go to Rapture Ready End Times News Archives for news. For up to date world news, I follow a few independent journalists, tousi TV is one so I don't have to listen to rapture watchers.

How long are the 'end times' and why are we in them now as opposed to WW1, WW2 or the historical texts I'm reading where Christian churches were burned to the ground with occupants still inside of them c. 1300?

It's the amount vs single instance. So there's no denying there were instances and hard times in the past, but just like labor pains, they get worse, close together and increase. So when we say "end times", its the idea of seeing sin, issues and problems word wide getting worse, sin running rampant, defection from truth and everything increasing to a smaller and smaller amount of time, in between another issue happening.

I'm not sure that I agree that the intensity or frequency has been on the rise. I think we are just exposed to it because this is our age. Historically, there was constant oppression, suppression, evil etc but we have to expose ourselves to history to understand that these things are not unique to our time on earth.

There is a real danger of always yelling, "End times," and these end times never coming to pass. This is why we have people exploiting others with suggested dates etc.

Just my thoughts.

The Apostles sincerely believed that Jesus was going to return in their lifetime - so we've been in end times since the ascension.

As far as I can see, no one knows the day/hour of Jesus' return. We are to be ready and preach the Good News so that others can be ready too.

True, but here in the US there were decades of having not a single war that we had to involve ourself in militarily. So between Dominican republic 1965 and Grenada 1983, thats 18 years. But then starting in 1990, weve been involved in 8 wars, and some are still ongoing with our troops and military being involved where as before previous to that, there were bigger spans of time and large gaps. And that's just talking about war and not even getting into religion. So I respect your opinion, I just don't agree. Christian persecution is on the rise all over the place, people are defecting from biblical truth and creating their own and people's behavior in general is just getting monstrously worse all over the place. So from my perspective, as I keep up on the news daily, it's definitely getting insanely worse and thats just been within my lifetime. I've never seen it as bad now as I have in the past and I've kept up with the news for over 20 years.

It's no problem if we disagree! We are all here to learn and I appreciate your views and thank you for sharing them!

We must remember that Jesus Christ, Himself, was persecuted and murdered for His beliefs under Roman rule. All of the disciples were also persecuted, tortured and murdered. If you go back to the annals of history, for nearly every country on earth, Christians have been persecuted, tortured and murdered en masse e.g. Ottoman empire.

The world and the history of the world is much larger than what does or doesn't happen in the US. As Americans, we can be quite myopic with regards to events and how they pertain to the rest of the world but, as I stated earlier, there is a great danger of yelling about the sky falling when we need to ensure we are teaching each other the value of resilience under predictable persecution by governments and our local society.

There is great value in understanding that these things have happened before, are likely to happen again and look to history for ways in which our predecessors survived, mitigated or overcame these trials and tribulations when they no doubt wished for an end to it all by hoping for 'end times'.

Which is true, but thats why I mentioned "all over the place" which I mean worldwide, not necessarily US. Christians are getting slaughtered in Democratic republic of Congo (70 were executed), Nigeria (over 150 were killed as they burned down homes), Mozambique (260+ killed in churches), Ethiopia (181 killed in a church burning), Russia (164 killed by muslims as they attacked various places), Pakistan, India, Gaza, south africa, new zealand, I mean the list goes on.... I don't just read local news, I also watch world news. All of this was just between last year and this year... it's getting worse.

So I think there is a difference between making sure people are aware of the times, as Jesus clearly rebuked the Pharisees for being able to judge the weather but not the times (matthew 16:3), and going overboard by making prophecy dates. We can say that the time is short, but also, stay rooted in scripture and continue to spread the gospel so the Lord comes and finds us doing the Fathers work.

I'm also hearing from these false teachers that just because they were wrong, "People are still being converted!" That is another way they are trying to justify their nasty messages. But, what if they are false conversions?

Did you know that God has a calendar, too? I had no idea. I'm still trying to find that in the scriptures. These are the biggest mockers of God. What Jesus said simply is not good enough for them. They must prove otherwise!

I don’t know who you’re referring to specifically but they’re probably referencing the passages in the old testament concerning the feasts. There’s a harmony to nature and each season has its rhythm. When you live on the land you become more attuned. We follow a biblical calendar and adjusted our lives and plans to its frequency.

When I look out my window on January 1st I know it isn’t a new year. Because winter’s the time for rest and rejuvenation. That’s why many can’t keep their resolutions because it’s the wrong energy. Everything around us is still and we’re trying to act. That’s why we fail. Spring is the time for planting and new beginnings aka the new year.

This is a principle I’ve employed that I’m expanding for a greater purpose. But I wouldn’t say your relationship with God is hindered if you don’t follow suit. We have different burdens.

~bella
