  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hell. Will Lots of People Go There?

There are thousands of protestant denominations.
Not all are Christian.
Not sure why you won't just say which one specifically
It was church of England school which is what qualifies as a protestatnt christian school. I don't want to say what the exact school was since that is personal info.

On no, wasn't wanting the exact school, just the denomination of the school.

The Church of England is the established denomination in England and the mother church of the global Anglican Communion.
The Church of England is often described as a middle way, or via media, between Catholicism and Protestantism, combining elements of both traditions in its theology, liturgy, and governance.
It is an Episcopal church, organized into two provinces—Canterbury and York—each divided into dioceses led by bishops, with the Archbishop of Canterbury as the most senior cleric.

From the little you shared, it seems it's multi denominational.

Can you clarify what you mean by this?
I've only been in this forum for about 2 months, so curious what you mean.
Thanks.
You can come in and fellowship ask respectful questions, just hang out. But nobody can come in and debate the Faith we follow, what the Church teaches in favor of their own teachings. This includes those that claim they “used” to be Catholic. The forum is a safe haven for Catholics to learn and grow. It’s the same for all congregational forums. All of them are safe havens for the particular stripe of Christianity they follow. There are several forums where people can debate but the congregational forums are supposed to be a respite from all that.

My guess is Adventist.
Not to go off topic, but Adventist don't even believe in hell. At least the SDA doesn't. they believe in soul sleep, and the wicked will be annihilated. Very similar to how the JW (who are not Christian according to CF standards) also believe. They're both part of the restorationist movement IIRC.

Correct. There is also Anglicans not in communion with the Anglican Communion/Archbishop of Canterbury, but that is entirely off topic.
