  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If people didn't support this form of false prophesying, the people making videos saying God said, when He said nothing ... would lose their motivation.

The internet is the modernized version of christian radio and television. You can find everything now and that’s what happens when gatekeeping isn’t a factor. Everyone gets a voice. We may not agree with them but if you’ve been online long enough you know likeminded people will find one another. They’re not going to stop making the videos nor will people cease to watch them. We all have free will.

Whether that motivation be monetization of their youtube channel or being the centre of attention .. God knows. And the fruit tells, once again the faith is dishonored because people flock to fortunetellers who call themselves prophets and the prophets say things, because it is what people want to hear.

The church has had false teachers for ages. The only difference now is their reach and it‘s easier to get started. You don’t need a pulpit. A microphone and camera will suffice.

So, we can demonize the fortunetellers for doing divination, but what about the broader issue? There are a vast number of people who want to hear messages like this ... this points to a lack of proper discipleship in this generation.

It points to their disenfranchisement with institutions. They know how to find a church if they want to but they don’t. That’s the part many refuse to accept. We’ve entered a shift and many are more spiritual than religious and setting aside tradition. Their belief in God is unchanged but they don’t want the system. You probably have more people watching videos than sitting in seats on Sunday.

They may not stop making videos, but if the demand matures spiritually, so will the videos.

The internet is a lab. Never forget that. Everything you do is tracked and measured. I don’t mention that as a scare tactic but in relation to its purpose. This is the best place to gauge reaction and test it too. Everything you see isn’t always from the origin you assume. It isn’t difficult to pay someone to make content and watch the reactions.

Joshua is a good example. He could be a genuine believer or a psyop. I lean towards the latter given the time frame he shared. He was “aware“ of it during the pandemic when the majority were home but didn’t speak. If spoil was the goal that was the perfect time. But we’re in a different position economically and hardship has many longing for home which increases the demand for messages like his.

If you wanted to study christians the internet is the perfect setting. People don’t censor themselves because they’re anonymous or so they believed. They share their thoughts, feelings, experiences and more. It’s a goldmine of data delivered to your enemy. You can’t assume everyone talking is an ordinary Joe. Israel is paying American influencers $7,000 a post to make pro-Israeli content. Do you think they’re the only one? Of course not. The story went viral because of Gaza.

The people watching rapture predictions are drawn for different reasons. I’ve read the comments and the majority are weary and tired of their hardships. I see similar remarks on christian content which leads me to believe it’s not the rapture in itself but a desire for relief that’s driving them.

Bear in mind, most christians listen to different teachers. It’s fairly common. I mentioned the problem with that on Sue’s thread because you can’t track the leaven. And we’re equally blind when we like someone too. We’ve created an avenue for deceit and shouldn’t be surprised when it occurs. But it’s harder to hide because of the internet. Now the world knows the truth.

You should expect more videos like his and ministers too. You’ve proven you’re gullible and the wolves will come. Because weakness has a scent and when people do things like that they’re ripe for the picking.

So do we just leave these fakeries alone or keep calling them out? Now this lady, she drives me absolutely bonkers. She hates when people bring up Enoch or the book of Enoch saying "it's not scriptural" but is somehow on board with using an Enoch calendar?! But she is a complete false prophet, loves to call herself one and also hates being corrected, which more Christians are now exposing their works of darkness because it IS witchcraft they are performing.

Keep doing it. Because even if she doesn't stop, it might help someone who reads your comment that decides to stop watching her. You might not get HER to stop, but if you pull away her audience.... that's where it matters most so other people aren't following what she's preaching anymore.

She's already deleted mine and a bunch of others' comments and I think I may have been blocked. ^_^
I added my response to the mix. Even if she pulls down the comments, she has to read them first in order to decide to pull them... so MAYBE, something might reach her. I doubt it... but one can hope.

We have surely experienced the 'labour pangs' of the coming apocalypse.
People who think that life on our earth can continue as it is indefinitely are in denial of the reality that confronts us every day in the news about nations preparing for war and the increasing proliferation of natural disasters.

...

Quote from another topic:

Precisely my point also.

Those who claim that we aren't in the end times - they just drink too much and they are blind. ^^

That and I think they're ignorant. A lot of people don't realize whats really going on in the world either as they don't really follow international news. But the world right now is like a pressure cooker and at some point, it's all just going to boil over.

Yeah, part of the problem is that there is no consequences. Back in the day you were killed, in the future when God stops prophets during his millenial reign, they're killed if they come out and prophesy. God is consistent in that.

But now, were supposed to sit and do nothing. They continue to spread MORE lies, people still follow them and they just encourage other people to crop up and do the same thing. ZERO fear of God, or any consequences. Not that God wont do something with them personally, but consequences on a human front is non existant.
I agree. It seems to be a two fold problem. First the church as a corporate body takes no action against obvious and blatant false teachers, false prophets and the like in their midst. Wolves are given a platform to continue. Secondly individual Christians continue to support those with a proven track record of false prophecies and teachings.

Both these things are clear signs that we're living in the last days IMHO. The first thing Jesus said when asked for signs of his coming was deception:

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

God Bless :)

I think people are allowed to continue because people have this idea that truth varies. If a catholic contradicts an orthodox who contradicts a baptist who contradicts a presbyterian, everyone just shrugs and says they can just believe what they want and it's totally okay. How in the world can you even point out a wolf when theology is so fractured, we can't even agree on who the wolf is, based off of what they say!?

Not to mention Christians literally argue that we can elevate people's theology instead of God being the one who dictates what truth is. Meaning, we learn what truth is from others because we can't rely on learning what the truth is from God. Or that truth is relative and not universal. "Pastor Pete said XYZ and I trust him because he had scripture to back it up and clearly, he has the spirit of God!" Okay and how do you know Pastor Pete isn't a wolf in sheeps clothing? Because he said so?

Every other christian generation faced persecution and martyrdom, but my generation is special, the rules don't apply at all. God's totally gonna teleport us out of here like in some occult fantasy novel.
