Hooray for indefinite occupation on the US dime.Yep. A few days. The agreement was no more days now (3-4). So days, is the only option IMO.
Strawman. Those who support Israel do not condone killing, bombing, or harm to innocent lives; we oppose such actions, as well as starvation and poverty.
StrawmanPerhaps I was speaking monolitically, but there are ABSOLUTELY posters in CF who've indicated they (at LEAST) passively condone it.
StrawmanObviously, some people who support Israel do do condone the killing, bombing and harm to innocent lives - they excuse themselves by declaring that no Palestinian is innocent. I do not support this version of Israel nor do I support Hamas.
Trump supports Israel and the killings, etc.
Hamas is the cause of all this. Use their people as human sheilds, steal food, then give the footage of their deeds to gain sympathy. Want to stop it all? Get rid of radical terrorist government. As in DUHI am gonna posit that Likud is as MUCH, if not MORE of a problem than Hamas.
Subsidizing Israel, even when they’re running a surplus and we’re running a deficit, and no questions asked military support has been US policy for decades. That is not the deal.
Hence my comment that the occupation is on the US dime. And?
Awwww. Poor little powerless Israeli government. It had no choice but to brutalize 20x the number of citizens to peove a point.Hamas is the cause of all this.
Israel used them tooUse their people as human sheilds,
What food? They block enough from going through.steal food,
Like, to the max?As in DUH
No. Hamas brutalized 20x to prove a point. No hamas no conflict. Thats like saying that millions of Japanese where killed because the US and allies attacked Japan. The attacker is guilty of all of it.Awwww. Poor little powerless Israeli government. It had no choice but to brutalize 20x the number of citizens to peove a point.
Yes, that always turns out well. What Matters is what Trump decides is right.
What if that takes killing 500,000 people? He knows if Hamas is not gotten rid of, and the acceptance of Israel as nation is not accepted, this will happen again and again...Just as it always has.
It's not fair for you to use arguments that are not based in realityNo. Hamas brutalized 20x to prove a point.
No netsnyahu no conflictNo hamas no conflict.
No, it’s the “‘they started it!’ defense”.It's not fair for you to use arguments that are not based in reality
Here and elsewhere I’ve heard that one of the the reasons we continue to fund Israel’s war-economy is to make sure that there’s an “Israel” for Jesus to come back to.Subsidizing Israel, even when they’re running a surplus and we’re running a deficit, and no questions asked military support has been US policy for decades.
Please clarify this prose, thanks!Trump just wants the destruction of Israel out if the Middle East.
Why’s it “our mess”, though? That is what has caused all this mess from the beginning.
How dare people fight for a land with a neighbor who strangles them economically? If this ends less than peaceful, it is because of people that won't accept peace at all costs.
Hamas attacked Israel first on Oct. 7, 2023. If this attack would not have happened then the present war would not have happened. So make an argument based on reality. It's not fair for you to use arguments that are not based in reality
No netsnyahu no conflict
No idf no conflict
No american govt. Pumping trillions of dollars into Israel no conflict.
If the IDF leaves Gaza today, it will not make any difference for Palestinians in Gaza. Saying "fighting needs to stop" overlooks that if the IDF leaves Gaza, conflict is likely to persist—just involving different groups and interests. Hamas will hold Gaza until they are fully defeated. Peace will only come if Hamas surrenders and gives up their weapons. That seems a stupid plan, but you never know with Trump. If he thought it would help him to the Peace Prize he would do it in a New York minute. But that would be for afters. Right now the fighting has to stop and in order to do that you have to deal with the people who are actually doing the fighting. Trying to find a more sympathetic leader who might go on be elected in hypothetical elections some time after the fighting has stopped begins to sound like an excuse to keep fighting. What authority would he have to have to order HAMAS to stop fighting? Why should HAMAS obey him?
It sounds like: as long as the IDF leaves Gaza, it's acceptable for everyone that a terrorist organization govern Gaza.Don’t matter how I feel about it.There’s no alternative organization that could realistically win the power struggle at this time.
What I find acceptable or unacceptable does not change that hamas has no opposition in its territory that’s capable of removing them from power currently. It sounds like: as long as the IDF leaves Gaza, it's acceptable for everyone that a terrorist organization govern Gaza.
