The bigger voting errors are overvotes (,3%) or more in every election, undervotes (might be on purpose for most) plus the wrong votes, as happened in Palm Beach county with the socialist getting 300 plus votes, or half the entire state total. Yes, there always will be a small percentage of illegal voting, especially of those who vote in the wrong state. I can say that I did once attend both the democratic caucus and the GOP caucus in the same year. I don't think that is illegal, though unusual. Both were quite interesting.

I'm an independent, I'm pleased that there were over 100,000 observers in the last presidential election and that created a lot of confidence in the process. Fraud is just a subset of election wrongdoing, and actual fraud is hard to prove. Convictions for fraud, or convictions for cheating on income tax or convictions for improper collection of welfare or Medicaid or other government benefits may significantly lag the actual number of offenses. I've personally aware of and reported much government wrongdoing with virtually zero accountability. Even with that background I was shocked at level of election wrongdoing in Detroit.
