  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The bigger voting errors are overvotes (,3%) or more in every election, undervotes (might be on purpose for most) plus the wrong votes, as happened in Palm Beach county with the socialist getting 300 plus votes, or half the entire state total. Lastly, many vote with the wrong address, some even in the wrong state of residence. Illegals voting are way down on the list but as the prosecute these it will make sure it stays that way.

I was pleased that the Republicans were able to gather over 100,000 poll watchers and introduce so many election integrity standards. Despite Lara Trump's warning at a Turning Point USA tally that those voting illegally would be prosecuted some still did.

Yes, there always will be a small percentage of illegal voting, especially of those who vote in the wrong state. I can say that I did once attend both the democratic caucus and the GOP caucus in the same year. I don't think that is illegal, though unusual. Both were quite interesting.

I oddly enough, when those rare cases of voter fraud are uncovered it's usually a Republican.

Understand the mainstream media very much suppresses stories on election wrongdoing by Democrats. Here, for example, is a local story on the video about such Democrats in Texas, it would have widely reported if it were Republicans:

Doesn't help you. That law they were arrested under, where no one has actually seen the indictments, was struck down once and is under appeal at the appellate court. But Ken Paxton, the guy who hides in the house from people serving him subpoenas, enforced it anyway.

The political affiliations are known for 170 defendants: 39.4% of those convicted were Democrats, 41.1% were Republicans, while the remainder were Independent, nonpartisan, or unaffiliated.

I'm an independent, I'm pleased that there were over 100,000 observers in the last presidential election and that created a lot of confidence in the process. There is more to be done, voter ID needs to be strengthened and is still being resisted in a number of blue areas. Here's a commentary update from last month on the previous story:

"The Texas Supreme Court has given the go ahead to Ken Paxton to continue going after illegal vote harvesters across the state. It appears we have a significant problem here, and it behooves law enforcement to root out the corruption."

Coulda foöled me
I'm not much for the two major parties, It's been at least 3 times (maybe more) that I voted for president for a person that was not the Democrat or Republican nominee. I remember one election less than 2% of the population did so.
