ST. GEORGE, Utah - The trans roommate of Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin "hates conservatives and Christians," one of his relatives told Fox News Digital in an interview.

The 22-year-old, who has not been charged and whose name has not yet been released by authorities, was in a romantic relationship with suspect Tyler Robinson, also 22, according to the relative. She said he is in the process of transitioning from male to female.

The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, told Fox News Digital her relative began to act differently when he turned 18 and said that he developed a hatred of Christians and conservatives.

So, allegedly Kirk's murderer's neighbor, has an opinion about the killer. And how does that opinion warrant Fox publishing it, and that opinion being repeated here? Hardly news, and hardly Christian in my opinion.

The relative suspects Robinson's politics were influenced by his partner in the year they have been dating.

"I think Tyler got a whole lot worse in the year they have been dating. They are big [video] gamers, and obviously they have that group that influences them as well as others. But my gut tells me [the roommate] did more of the influencing," the relative said.

Fox News Digital was told by an FBI official that Robinson's roommate has been "extremely cooperative" and claimed he "had no idea" about Robinson's alleged plans to assassinate Kirk.

Robinson and his roommate shared an apartment in St. George, Utah, where both of their families reside.

But it appears the alleged assailant is gay and in a homosexual relationship with a man who plans to surgically alter his gender. It seems they‘re downplaying his sexuality and placing the lion’s share of blame on the roommate/partner for his behavior.

But most homosexuals don’t have romantic relationships with people who are transgender. It’s a tiny demographic. And I wonder if his decision to do so would allow him to give the appearance of a heterosexual bond to others. And if that’s the case it’s probably an outgrowth of his upbringing and desire for approval.

And consider the reality of his actions in light of it. He’s gone beyond the bounds in several areas.

Sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender presentation are different concepts.

It's complicated, but actual gay men would not accept the idea that a man is gay merely because he has a trans partner. And alot of younger people wouldn't, either, whether they are gay or straight.
