  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And ultimately, that is what killed him. A right-winger so indoctrinated that he put Goyper slogans on his bullets, to kill someone for not being extreme right enough. Nick Fuentes targeted Kirk for hatred, and one of them acted on it.

A MAGA Groyper? Charlie Kirk shooter Tyler Robinson's political leaning unclear; Nick Fuentes reacts to 'pure evil' - The Times of India

Soon after Charlie Kirk's assassination, some on the political left quickly spread a baseless theory that the conservative podcaster was killed by a follower of the ultra-right-wing group called Groypers.

Why not? Just as baseless as claims the right was spreading early. "Radical leftist" was not only what the social media echo chamber was saying, but the POTUS and members of his party themselves.

Don't forget the "trans" slogan etched into the bullet casing.

I don't get why people are into Conservatives only views. It seems like every time a Republican is elected for president. They screw up the United States more. And Democrats have to try to fix the damage. I don't know much about Kirk. But his wife speaks nothing about Christians love and apologizing to the black community and liberals. That wasn't involved in her husband murder. She basically called them evil doer's. When the person, that shot Kirk came from the background, that her husband was encouraging .

Yep.

"The other side engages in baseless conspiracy theories so we can too!"

Oy.
It's more to whom is doing it. It's the president of the United States and members of congress.

Plenty of blame for the divide of tribalism in America is also on the left wing liberals. Charlie Kirk believes in peaceful dialog. It's too bad that the radical leftists don't also believe in that.
Out of curiousity, which individual left wingers do you think were the BIGGEST contributors? And what do you think were some of their VERY very contentious ideas?

Also, NOBODY who is "Radical", left or right, is interested in peaceful dialogue.

Without conservatism, common sense, people suffer. It's amazing that you think she did not speak about Christianity and love when in fact that was her emphasis. Perhaps you should listen again to her words with an open heart. Truly evil was behind the murder. She never mentioned the black community or liberals for that matter as being responsible for her husband's death. She was addressing those who preach violence.

“This is transcending not only the youth generation, but also the older generations. This is a hit on our country. It is a hit on our movement. It is a hit on, you know, Christianity. It is a hit on religion. It is a hit on freedom. It’s kind of you know, emphasizes the dichotomy between good and evil in this country,” Trump continued.

It's going to take plenty of outrage by the people to get their leaders to change course.
It's a shame that Kirk was killed but there a lot of hyperbole when speaking about his importance. He'll be more famous in death than while alive.

Groyper slogans were engraved on the ammunition Robinson used. And they hated Charlie Kirk, disrupting his events. Sometimes with violence.

Despite his firebrand style, Kirk was frequently attacked by figures on the far edges of the right for being insufficiently radical. White nationalist Nick Fuentes and his followers labeled Kirk a gatekeeper, accusing him of co-opting Trump's populist energy while diluting its message. During the so-called "Groyper Wars" in 2019, Fuentes supporters regularly disrupted Kirk's campus events, targeting him for not embracing a harder line on immigration and rejecting openly homophobic rhetoric.

How is that "baseless?" C'mon.

Ask the reporters at Axios who wrote the article.

Also see:

What is not confirmed

Here are the claims that have not been proven in court or law enforcement filings:
  • There is no confirmed evidence that Robinson was a member of the Groypers or had any direct contact with Nick Fuentes.10
  • While some Groyper-linked memes and playlists featured Bella Ciao, Robinson’s choice to engrave it could just as easily come from anti-fascist, ironic, or pop culture sources. The meaning is ambiguous.2 8
  • Reports of Robinson’s Discord messages exist, but their authenticity has been challenged by the platform itself.4

What are we to think?

The available evidence shows that Tyler Robinson opposed Charlie Kirk and engraved slogans on bullet casings that drew from meme culture, gaming, furry subculture, and one anti-fascist anthem.
While some of these overlap with imagery that has circulated in Groyper circles, there is no proof that Robinson was part of Fuentes’s far-right movement.
It now seems clear that the Left had nothing to do with this attack, but nor is there yet any hard evidence tying Robinson to the Groypers.
Until investigators release more, the safe conclusion is that his motivations remain muddy — a mixture of personal hostility, irony, and internet subculture.
The warning is simple: don’t jump to conclusions that aren’t supported by facts.

They denied none of that. How could they? It was documented fact.

There were no Groyper slogans on Tyler Robinson's ammunition. The people who attempted to disrupt Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA events were people from the progressive leftist liberals.

Police recovered a Mauser Model 98 rifle in a nearby wooded area soon after Charlie Kirk’s murder. Utah’s Governor, Spencer Cox, later confirmed that unfired casings carried bizarre inscriptions.

These included: “Hey fascist! Catch!” (a line from the Tarantino movie Inglorious Basterds) is featured along with arrows which reference the multiplayer video game Helldivers, and various imperatives with the word ‘fascist’ are memes in the Helldivers community, which is popular with the far right community.

The gun casing engravings included some other classic internet trolling motifs – “If you read this, you are gay, LMAO” “notices bulge OWO what’s this?” – and a single line: “Bella Ciao.”

“Bella Ciao” is a 20th-century Italian folk song that became the anthem of the anti-fascist Resistance during the Second World War. Its lyrics – “O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao! – are a mournful yet defiant farewell to a life of freedom, sung by a partisan who is fighting and expects to die for the cause of liberation from fascism. After the song gained global recognition from its feature in the Netflix series Money Heist, the Groyper movement co-opted it.

The people who attempted to disrupt Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA events were people from the progressive leftist liberals.

No point in denial.
