  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Task force found 'consistent and systematic pattern of discrimination'

The U.S. Department of Justice issued a 48-page report earlier this week detailing an alleged "consistent and systematic pattern of discrimination" against Christians throughout the federal government under the Biden administration.

The report, assembled by the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias that President Donald Trump established in February, was released the same day he addressed the second hearing of the White House Religious Liberty Commission at the Museum of the Bible in the nation's capital.

During his hour-long speech, Trump affirmed his administration's commitment to religious freedom, acknowledged the crucial role Christianity played in U.S. history and condemned his predecessor, Joe Biden, and his advisors as especially "mean."

Continued below.

Not a surprising result from a DOJ that is the most politically far right wing in history.

Considering there was a report that turned social media against conservatives, I'm not surprised really. Putin was right that depending on who gets into the whitehouse, the US can be a completely different country. It's only going to get worse from here! The anti-christ will target Christians, so this is only the beginning...

What's he doing for Christians? Kicking them out of the country because they are looking for a better life?
Stopped social media suppressing posts, allowing prayers back into schools. I suggest you look into what he's actually doing.

Prayer has always been allowed in our schools. He didn't allow anything.

I have seen what he has done. Very little of it helps Christians. Getting Roe overturned helped but he doesn't want to end abortions. He is everything that Jesus told us not to be.

Considering freedom of religion (NOT freedom from religion) is one of our foundational rights, and the left has systematically tried to destroy that foundation, I find this report relevant and appropriate. Thank you, Trump, for seeking to ensure that ALL of our freedoms are protected.

It’s just to balance the bunk that came out of the DoJ that was the most extreme left wing in history.

No, prayer hasn’t always been allowed in schools. Schools where I’ve lived most of my life wouldn’t even allow prayers to be said during after-school activities or opening sports games. If a coach tried, in most cases they were removed from their position, even if the athletes wanted it. So, maybe come up with a different response.

And ending RvW was never about religion, it was about states rights. So, wrong on both counts.

I don't know that the Biden DOJ was extreme left wing. They didn't fire Republicans for being Republicans. They went out of their way not to investigate Republicans, to the point that it was too late when they started.

LOL, that's a good one.
No spin. Many of the immigrants that Trump is deporting are Catholics and the Church has condemned Trump's immigration policies.

Everyone is some religion. I doubt he is throwing them out based on their religion.

Are we to base our policies on what “the church” supports or condemns? What happened to separation of church and state?

They targeted conservatives and did nothing to stop the violence coming from their own side.

Yes it has. Schools can no longer force kids to pray but they are free to pray.
Schools where I’ve lived most of my life wouldn’t even allow prayers to be said during after-school activities or opening sports games.
Then that was illegal and the school could have been sued to change their personal policies. I do know that there are some school districts that don't know the law.
If a coach tried, in most cases they were removed from their position, even if the athletes wanted it.
These cases have been litigated and the coaches have won. They can't force kids to pray but they can pray before and after games.

I agree but he is failing to help all of those Christians that he is deporting. Christianity is about showing love to those in need.
Are we to base our policies on what “the church” supports or condemns?
Then don't say that he is helping Christians.
What happened to separation of church and state?
Did you see what this thread was about? It's not about the separation of Church and state.

They targeted crime. If Republicans or Democrats perpetrated those crimes, they prosecuted.

Well, hallelujah. After years of Christians being persecuted by the government, which, according to you is against the law, Christians are finally getting their rights back. It should never have been done in the first place and I’m supposed to be grateful that they had to win a court battle to get back what was against the law to be taken away.

Next do the bakers who, in their good Christian conscience, refuse to make cakes for what they consider violations to their beliefs and are being repeatedly sued by state and local governments and being fined hefty fines daily till they comply.
