  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

antibiotics can be ordered by a doctor for this -- if it is the usual cause

I'm actually getting botox in my jaw for TMJ by my ENT. I've had issues with my ears since the summer of 2007. It's been miserable.

I have no infection or fluid in my ears, though.

I was going to say that it might be TMJ. If you do not have a night guard for your teeth to wear at night you can try that. Some dentists too can move your teeth in various ways to help. (may take lots of money and time) My dentist had me put my thumb on the bottom teeth and forefinger on the upper and stretch the jaw about 5 x. He told me to do this several times a day (do not stretch to the extent you have much pain). After praying for this condition for some months, I remember one time I stretched in the mirror and it was like the jaw was opened more supernaturally. The dentist too was measuring everytime I went in. The distance increased over time several millimeters.
I pray you too will find God's healing path. That your jaw and its affects on your ears and neck will be pain free.

Riley, I'm currently dealing with what hopefully is only swelling of my right masseter muscle. Let's pray for each other.
God bless you
