  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm somewhat surprised the liberal establishment in Colorado decided to drop the lawsuit in exchange for him resigning. You would think this is the kind of guy they would enjoy seeing in prison for a long time.

No, you would think that. The rest of us do not automatically assume other people are as vindictive as our president.

As to President Trump and the Republican Party, I think they have gone out of their way to avoid being vindictive. They could have launched civil lawsuits from every Republican state to tie up the major Democrat candidates for office.

Then I think you view is delusional and not to be taken seriously.

Well, it's not like the state wanted money or something.

The law allows violators to be fined but Weiser’s lawsuit only seeks a judge’s order declaring that Zwinck’s actions violated the law and barring him from such actions in the future.

It would seem he will be unable to take such actions in the future, now that he's resigned.
