Hello, in need of fellowship, hoping to find some here. I live in the woods in Alaska, lost my husband of almost 38 years 2 1/2 years ago. Children all grown and married, only one son left in Alaska. Can't find a good church for fellowship, sadly, so many teach baby food, and often inaccurate baby food.

So basically looking for some fellowship, good Bible discussion, nice people, interaction. I'll make my profile more complete, find a picture or something.

I am saved by grace but now that I am saved I gladly obey His ways. Yes, there are still glaciers, Jesus loves you too.

Thanks, Messianic in the sense of being obedient to the Word, not Judaism at all, Judaism has the same problem the "church" has, full of doctrines and traditions of man.

Deeper Fellowship may be a useful section to find company. Friendship Court and the Life Stages subforums are also good places to connect with people.

These are my usual general recommendations, but for people who emphasize the Word of God (Jesus) as revealed in Scripture, the Christian Scriptures area, especially the Exposition and Bible Study Subforum, may be a relief. I imagine that you may have been starved for deep biblical conversation for quite some time.

Messianic Jews are Jewish people who have accepted that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, and thus believe in Christianity.

Obedience to the Word is a more common belief in Baptist or Non-denominational preaching as far as I know, and resistance to the traditions of men is a more Non-denominational belief. However, I would encourage you to look around at the various Congregational subforums and consider which ones match your beliefs.

If and when you want to change your faith group, you can make a support ticket here: Create ticket in… and the admins will help you with that. It’s not something you need to rush to change, but over the long term having a faith label that actually matches your beliefs will make your stay more comfortable.
