Trump utterly fails to understand how much fun and entertainment he's denying a good chunk of his base by telling them to move on.

Its like pulling out the trip to Disneyland that you promised the kids. Taking them out for an ice cream isnt going to make up for it.

....ah, his supporters have "conned" (....oh the irony)

“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bull***’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump wrote in a missive on Truth Social. “They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”

“I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,” he wrote. “Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”

Mike Pence Demands Trump Administration Release Full Epstein Files: ‘The Time Has Come’

Speaking to CBS News on Wednesday, Pence addressed the story:

I think the time has come for the administration to release all of the files regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s investigation and prosecution. It’s important that we protect the names of the victims. They should be excluded from any disclosure, but whether or not the facts justify charges, I think that anyone who participated or was associated with this despicable man ought to be held up to public scrutiny.

Trump Responds After Report on 50th Birthday Letter to Jeffrey Epstein

The letter bearing Trump's name, reviewed by the Journal, is dated 2003 and is said to feature several lines of typewritten text surrounded by the outline of a naked woman, sketched in marker.

The illustration also includes two small arcs representing breasts, with Trump's signature written below the waist

The letter reportedly concludes: "Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret."

The president told the Journal in a Tuesday interview: "This is not me. This is a fake thing. It's a fake Wall Street Journal story. I never wrote a picture in my life. I don't draw pictures of women. It's not my language. It's not my words."

Trump ranted about the Journal on Truth Social, writing: "The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued. Mr. Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously, did not have the power to do so. The Editor of The Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, was told directly by Karoline Leavitt, and by President Trump, that the letter was a FAKE, but Emma Tucker didn't want to hear that. Instead, they are going with a false, malicious, and defamatory story anyway."

Huh. So he did write it.

What the government evidence list tells us about the unreleased Epstein files

The Department of Justice released an index of the evidence earlier this year.

The only newly-released document in "phase one," which received little public attention, was a three-page catalog of evidence that appears to be an accounting of evidence seized during the searches of Epstein's properties in New York and the U.S. Virgin Islands after his arrest in 2019, and a search of his Palm Beach mansion a dozen years earlier.

That little-noticed index offers a roadmap to the remaining trove of records that President Donald Trump's administration has declined to release, including logs of who potentially visited Epstein's private island and the records of a wiretap of Maxwell's phone.

Some of the documents could shed light on who visited the island. According to the index, the files also include a Little Saint James logbook as well as multiple logs of boat trips to and from the island.

The evidence also includes multiple lists, one vaguely described as a "document with names"

The evidence also includes approximately 60 pieces of physical evidence, including photographs, travel logs, employee lists, more than $17,000 in cash, five massage tables, blueprints of Epstein's island and Manhattan home, four busts of female body parts, a pair of women's cowboy boots and one stuffed dog, according to the list.

Reminder of the original memo:

"While we have labored to provide the public with maximum information regarding Epstein and ensured examination of any evidence in the government's possession, it is the determination of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted," the memo said.

Why is AI so bad at hands? Maybe I should ask ChatGPT:

'In short, the complexity of hands—both in their form and function—combined with limitations in the training data and the model's understanding, makes generating hands one of the trickier tasks for AI.'

MAGA infighting over Epstein files reveals pro-MAGA botnet on X that's being driven schizophrenic because MAGA is of two minds.

A MAGA bot network on X is divided over the Trump-Epstein backlash

The network, tracked for NBC News by both the social media analytics company Alethea and researchers at Clemson University, consists of more than 400 identified bot accounts, though the number could be far larger, the researchers say. Its accounts offer consistent praise for key Trump figures, particularly support for Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

The bots have posted support for conservative figures since 2024, including supporting Trump and other Republicans on the ballot in the lead-up to the election, and then afterward posting that they were excited for Trump to take office. Though they would occasionally mix their messages — some have professed affection for MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, for instance — their messaging was consistently in favor of MAGA figures until the recent Epstein files controversy.

During the same minute last Saturday morning, for example, one account in the network both cautioned a MAGA supporter from judging Bondi too harshly and told another that Bondi or FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino should resign over the scandal.

Lots of other good examples of the bot trying to amplify 'the' MAGA message on the Epstein files.

Johnson says Bondi needs to 'come forward and explain' handling of Epstein files

Tennessee Republican Rep. Tim Burchett told ABC News he is "not happy" with how Bondi has handled the Epstein matter. Later in a letter sent Tuesday, Burchett called on House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer to invite Maxwell to testify in a public hearing.
Sounds like somebody has given Burchett some advice.

GOP Rep Worries About The 'Innocent' Wealthy Friends Who Flew On Epstein's 'Dadgum Plane'

A Republican congressman who repeatedly called for the Trump administration to release all government files on Jeffrey Epstein has now watered down his demands, warning on Sunday that any flight logs related to the late sex offender’s “dadgum plane” should not identify innocents, including, according to the lawmaker, wealthy people like President Donald Trump.

“But I have a lot of wealthy friends, and they fly on people’s planes. And their plane will be down, and they’ll say, ‘Hey, we’re going somewhere and we’ve got an extra seat, do you wanna go?’ And they don’t even know the person on the plane,” he continued. “So that’s one of the things I worry about, too, because you know, President Trump admitted that he flew on [Epstein’s] dadgum plane. And so I worry about some innocent people. … There’s over a thousand people that this dirtbag apparently offended ― and currently, I believe the devil’s dealing with him.”

Maxwell offers to testify before Congress on Epstein's sex trafficking scheme

"She would be more than happy to sit before Congress and tell her story."
What? Out in the open for everyone to hear? Can't have that.

Deputy Attorney General [and former Trump personal lawyer] Todd Blanche will meet with Ghislaine Maxwell 'in the coming days,' Bondi says

Attorney General Pam Bondi said Monday that Deputy Attorney Todd Blanche will meet with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, sometime in the "coming days."

"President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence. If Ghislane Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say," Blanche said in the statement posted by Bondi on X.

[And then will you release it?]

Any bets on when Maxwell will be pardoned and released? (after signing a non-disclosure agreement of course)?

Meanwhile, Mike is getting back in line.

  • Epstein case: Speaker Mike Johnson said he would shut down the House until September in order to head off Democratic demands for votes calling for the release of files from the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and sex offender who was once friends with President Trump. Mr. Johnson said votes would end Wednesday night in what he called an effort to avoid “political games” related to the Justice Department’s handling of the files. The announcement came just after the House Oversight Committee voted to subpoena Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime partner of Mr. Epstein, for a deposition.

NDA, nah? Trump's lawyers* are going to cook up an proffer from Maxwell where the most prominent Dem or two are IDed as "Epstein clients" and (potentially) charged *AND* (this is the most important part) claim Trump never sampled Epstein's "wares".

...some Republicans are not happy with Johnson's decision to dismiss the House....

After initially saying the material should come out, Mr. Johnson on Monday vowed that he would not schedule a vote this summer on whether to release the Epstein files, saying that Mr. Trump needed “space” to determine how to proceed. On Tuesday, he claimed that House Republicans were united on the issue. But they appeared to be far from it.

“Crimes have been committed,” said Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, Republican of Georgia. “If there’s no justice and no accountability, people are going to get sick of it. That’s where people largely are.”

Representative Ralph Norman, Republican of South Carolina and a member of the Rules panel, criticized his leaders for “stalling” on the matter.

“The American people deserve action, not excuses,” he wrote on social media on Tuesday. “Let’s vote on it before August recess and get it DONE!!”

And Representative Thomas Massie, Republican of Kentucky, said he still planned to circumvent House Republican leaders and force a vote on releasing the Epstein files in September, with the help of Democrats, using a maneuver known as a discharge petition.

“He just told us in there to stick their heads in the sand about this Epstein thing,” Mr. Massie said after a Republican conference meeting, noting that Mr. Johnson had offered members no clear explanation of why a vote on the matter needed to be delayed.

Mr. Johnson *really* wants this to go away. He hopes that the August break (which is about to start) will cool the fever on the discharge petition, but...

The sound *pretty* intent, and if all the Dems support the petition (and that seems likely) there are twice as many Republicans already supporting it than needed (w/ Dems) to force a vote. (Due to House rules, the required number of legislative days for the petition to "ripen" won't occur until after they come back.)

‘She Deserves to Be Out’: Alan Dershowitz Wants Epstein Accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell Released from Prison

After Real America’s Voice host Eric Bolling asked, “Should Ghislaine Maxwell be behind bars?” Dershowitz responded:

She shouldn’t be, but she is. She is really serving Jeffrey Epstein’s sentence. After he committed suicide, there was no one else to prosecute ’cause there was no real information against anybody else and so they went after her and they sentenced her to the sentence that would have been appropriate for Epstein, but not at all appropriate for her, and so she’s appealing now and I hope the appeal will be granted. She deserves to be out.
Maxwell groomed underage girls by taking them shopping and to the cinema and was “present for certain sexual encounters between minor victims and Epstein,” including nude “sexualized massages,” according to the DOJ.

Dershowitz admitted to receiving a “therapeutic massage” at Epstein’s home, though insisted it was conducted by “an old Russian.”
