  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

US has struck three Iranian nuclear sites, Trump says

Interesting post thanks. Israel in the Old Testament and is in a roller coaster of faith. If they are fat they go against God if they are being attacked or in bondage they want God. What is different between today’s Israel and the Israel of old?

I have a lot of thoughts about the subject of Israel in the context of theology and biblical teaching, but this isn't the place to have that conversation. It should suffice to say that I do not consider the modern state of Israel to have any theological or religious significance. I don't know if that answers your question though.

Actually that's part of what motivated the US to support Israel.

Yes, the influence of Dispensationalism in US politics is terrifyingly deep.

Magog is Russia. There is no country that aids Israel in Ezekiel 38, therefor Usa will bo longer aiding Israel.

Here is a great video to help you to understand Ezekiel 38
I especially like how the armies of five nations that are situated all around Israel gather to the north of Israel and then attack it in a wedge formation like a medieval cavalry charge.

A controversial opinion which is pretty much limited to Dispensationalist Christians and which in any case is irrelevant to our foreign policy.

The only way you’ll resolve this is by separating. You can’t have all these factions together in one society and expect to have peace. Your constitutions are incompatible.

The end game is that the US will be a Christians nation and that conservative Protestantism (largely Dispensationalist) will be the only recognized form of Christianity. The DOJ already has a task force to see how they are going to pull off that last part. This has being going on for a while. As far back as 1988 when Pat Robertson was running for President one of the planks in his platform was that the Bill of Rights only applied to "Bible-believing" Christians.

I think you are having some problem. You posted almost the same thing on May 2, 2025 about Trump. It didn't make sense then either. Trump has supported Protestants, Jews, and Catholics. By the way, Pat Robertson didn't do so well.

I’m not sure what you mean here. I can see that Moslems who find their modern roots in the Moslem Brotherhood and some other fanatic sects refuse to live in peace with other religions, but Protestants, Jews, Sikhs, moderate Moslems, Hindus, Buddhists, Orthodox, and Catholics can live in peace under the right political system. It has been done many times. They argue, but they can live in peace. They don’t always, but they can. What am I missing here?

I don’t see that happening and whatever they create will be more like Gilead than the utopia some envision. If you weren’t living the dream before why would your government provide it for you later on? It’s the same factions after all. But when you’re bamboozled you’ll believe anything I suppose.

The more I read these posts the more I understand why some groups separated and formed their own societies. I’m not speaking of cults or anything along those lines. Just reasonably minded people with shared interests who want a better life and culture. I expect elites to speak like this because they’re diabolical. But the christian version is equally troubling and I’m glad I don’t have anyone in my circle who thinks like that. We’d have to part ways.

That we presently don't live under such a political system. We have MAGA now.

And bombing Iran's nuclear sites stops that how?
What I meant is there's a mentality of not being afraid to die for what's considered a holy cause. As seen in suicide bombers. Iran is pretty much at the top of the list on the countries that can't be trusted with an arsenal of nuclear missiles.

Do you want Iran to have a nuclear missile arsenal?

All extremism is problematic and likely to blossom. If you’re accustomed to that rhetoric or it’s a regular topic in your home you may not realize it’s strange or something others don’t partake in. It isn’t an example you’d display to your loved ones or wish for them to emulate. As these ideas grow in popularity they’ll find their way to schools. Much like we’ve seen with incels. Bad ideas have a habit of spreading. If you’ve lived long enough you’ve seen it play out in our culture.

....and my point was, the Iranian regime's first priority is survival.

No. I don't know anyone or any country that wants Iran to have a missle.

Like a suicide bomber's first priority is survival? Their first priority is doing whatever for Allah. Including suicide as long as they're taking infidels out in the process.
No. I don't know anyone or any country that wants Iran to have a missle.
Then why is the US and Israel stopping Iran's process towards that a problem?

It's the matter of going about it and the attempt to turn the conflict into a religious war that are the problems.
