Trump, I think, believed he could do anything at all he wanted to Iran and his base would go for it--because Iran is Muslim. The problem is, that Trump's base, despite their ugly belligerance, are still actually Christians at heart and there are some things even a MAGA Christian won't stand for.

He showed who he was with the Gaza video. Stealing someone’s land and turning it into a high end resort while commanding them to leave is the epitome of greed and cruelty. I’m uncertain what christians see in him but he’ll be their undoing as will the other.

God judges righteously. We don’t get a pass for America’s sins if we’re supporting them and we’re equally culpable. Although we may not be in a position to change what’s taking place. We shouldn’t lend our amen to wickedness or fail to pray against it.

Congress is drafting a war powers act to prevent the President from declaring war unilaterally without Congressional approval. You wouldn't think they would need to, given that the Constitution is clear and unambiguous on the issue, but as you point out, these are strange times, Trump has declared he will "primary" any Republican who votes for it.
This would ring more true if Congress hadn’t already abdicated their Constitutional powers of the purse and tariffs.

Load of Trump supporters right here a big deal about Trumps promised isolationism. It was a major rationale for their vote. So they said.

In all of my comments about Trump during his campaign I never addressed those claims because I didn’t believe them. I saw the pieces on Miriam Adelson and others and knew where he leaned. This is a snippet from The Times of Israel.

Miriam Adelson has delivered on a pledge she reportedly made at the start of the general election season, donating $100 million to a campaign committee supporting the candidacy of Donald Trump, according to disclosures filed Tuesday with the Federal Election Commission.

A major funder of pro-Israel politics and a prolific donor to Jewish causes, Adelson, 79, is carrying on a legacy she built with her late husband, casino magnate Sheldon Adelson. The Adelson family has long been one of the largest sources of campaign money for Republican candidates and has backed Trump during each of the last three general elections.

You’ll learn a lot when you follow the money. Taking politicians at their word without research is unwise.

For sure you have to guard your trust carefully when people are out to secure your vote.

But Trump is a born salesman. It literally was his profession prior to politics. He knows how to make a successful pitch, and of course lots of people fell for it.

Others were skeptical precisely because hes a salesman to the core.

Exactly, which is why more discernment is required. Most of the people voting for him are relying on emotionalism, empty promises or minor pledges that would only see the light of day once he fulfills his obligations. He changes his tune frequently and they may not get a thing.

Oh, there's a Neo-Con branch of MAGA? I learned something new today!
I don't know what that means, but I'm a die hard Trump supporter, and I, like so many others, support Israel... @bella is *NOT* MAGA, and she doesn't want to take part in any foreign wars... Draw your own conclusions.

...Maybe it's best not to try and "invent' what the agenda is for your preferred acronyms, using biased news sources, or cherry-picked sound bytes.

...You mean "ideas"? Yes, we voted for Trump based on his "ideas".

Not sure how you think you can transform that into a negative, but hey, whatever.

I’m a follower of Christ and that‘s the lone label I require for myself. I have no affiliation with political parties or movements connected to their positions. Nor do I support senseless wars that risk the lives of men and women unnecessarily. The people authorizing these events aren’t putting their children in harm‘s way and Barron Trump won’t be enlisting.

And if that’s something to take pride in I’d rather be ashamed.

If you get what you‘ve expected you’ll have concrete things to reference beyond ideas and the jury’s out. But I wouldn’t count my chickens too fast. Israel is spending $300 million per night on their defense. And we’ll probably need to replenish their supplies and allocate resources. His obligations may dwindle the coffers and you may end up empty handed.

Friends help friends, when people are good bella - that's what friends do. But defending blatant idol worship, such as what Islam represents with their vile teachings, and their sharia law, and their false "prophet". This is where your ideas crumble and fall apart, IMO.

There are no children going to war, only men and woman, who volunteer on their own accord. And it's not senseless to strip an angry, enraged Islamic terrorist-country from obtaining WMD's. It's common sense to prevent that, and it can be done very easily, and quickly.

Neither Israel or the Trump administration actually want a peaceful resolution.
Before Iran refused to sign a diplomatic treaty concerning nuclear non-proliferation, it was still possible to actually have a peaceful resolution.

Do I really have to explain how a parent refers to their offspring?

?

What do you mean? Iran signed the treaty. In fact, Iran is a party to the treaty, that is also why the IAEA inspectors are in the country.

Recently, Iran has threatened to withdraw from the NPT, but did not do it.

For example Israel is not a party to the treaty and does not allow IAEA inspections of its main nuclear facility at Dimona where they are believed to develop their nuclear weapons.
In contrast, the IAEA inspectors are actively involved in monitoring Iran's nuclear sites, including uranium enrichment facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Esfahan.

The IAEA has told the world that Iran's uranium enrichment is at about the 60% level which is much, much, much higher than is useful or necessary for the peaceful usage of uranium in nuclear reactors.

Texas Republican Calls on Trump to Go To War With Iran For Israel Because ‘It’s Biblical’

Rep. Roger Williams (R-TX) pushed back hard against Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), who has been trying to stop Trump from launching a military strike on Iran without getting permission from Congress.

“Look, it’s biblical, okay,” Williams said. “I’m one of those – it’s biblical. We support Israel. Israel is our friend. We need to be with them, and Sen. Kaine, I just would want to know what side he is really on.”

--

Tucker Carlson Torches Ted Cruz Over Biblical Justification for Bombing Iran: ‘You don’t even know where in the Bible it is’

"Where does my support for Israel come from? Number one, because biblically, we are commanded to support Israel, but number two —” [Senator 'Ted'] Cruz began as Carlson questioned this line of thinking, as well.

“We are commanded as Christians to support the government of Israel?” Carlson asked.

Carlson and Cruz split on what “those who bless Israel will be blessed” means in terms of supporting the country or the Jewish population overall.

“Is the nation God is referring to in Genesis, is that the same as the country run by Benjamin Netanyahu right now?” Carlson asked.

“Yes,” Cruz said, then taking issue with Carlson saying Netanyahu “runs” the country, arguing the word makes him sound like a dictator.

How far gone do you have to be taken to task by Tucker Carlson? Apparently Podcaster Ted is at that level.
