They weren’t needed or requested. That’s why I say they were only deployed for the desired visuals the president wanted. That and as another poster mentioned, to use them as props in future partisan campaign ads. Very disrespectful to our men and women in uniform but that’s to be expected from our draft dodging president.

Kudos to the thousand of people conducting peaceful protest. That is protected speech. However, I guess what gets me is the cover up attempts by some democrats decrying that there is no violence in LA. That is disingenuous.
The letter is basically saying, "Thank you national guard and U.S. Marines for helping us ensure things were peaceful today. We couldn't have done it without you."

It’s serious enough that it overwhelmed the LAPD. As I stated before, maybe the governor can call the NG under title 32 to help the LAPD since the NG is already is place.
