They have continued pushing false narratives, especially about the Trump Administration. Just this week, NPR, citing two anonymous sources, reported that two DOGE workers gained accounts on classified networks, used by the National Security Administration and the Department of Energy, and accessed nuclear secrets.
“This reporting is false. No DOGE personnel have accessed these NNSA systems. The two DOGE individuals in question worked within the agency for several days and departed DOE in February,” a Department of Energy spokesperson told NPR.

There is no reason for the U.S. taxpayer to fund such biased "news" networks.

The taxpayers should not be paying for such politically biased organizations. Let the Democrats fund them through private donations. Kamala outspent the Trump campaign by a ratio of more than two to one! Let the wealthy Democrats pay.

"Race and identity became paramount in nearly every aspect of the workplace. Journalists were required to ask everyone we interviewed their race, gender, and ethnicity (among other questions), and had to enter it in a centralized tracking system. We were given unconscious bias training sessions. A growing DEI staff offered regular meetings imploring us to “start talking about race.” Monthly dialogues were offered for “women of color” and “men of color.” Nonbinary people of color were included, too.
These initiatives, bolstered by a $1 million grant from the NPR Foundation, came from management, from the top down. Crucially, they were in sync culturally with what was happening at the grassroots—among producers, reporters, and other staffers. Most visible was a burgeoning number of employee resource (or affinity) groups based on identity.
They included MGIPOC (Marginalized Genders and Intersex People of Color mentorship program); Mi Gente (Latinx employees at NPR); NPR Noir (black employees at NPR); Southwest Asians and North Africans at NPR; Ummah (for Muslim-identifying employees); Women, Gender-Expansive, and Transgender People in Technology Throughout Public Media; Khevre (Jewish heritage and culture at NPR); and NPR Pride (LGBTQIA employees at NPR).
All this reflected a broader movement in the culture of people clustering together based on ideology or a characteristic of birth. If, as NPR’s internal website suggested, the groups were simply a “great way to meet like-minded colleagues” and “help new employees feel included,” it would have been one thing. "

The taxpayers should not be required to pay for the distribution of views of one political party. That's taxpayer funded viewpoint discrimination and that's what Trump is getting rid of.

This is exactly happened in the mid 1930s in Germany.

When did anti discrimination become limited to one political position?

You know you are claiming that MAGA folks WANT to be able to discriminate and anyone trying to stop said discrimination is being silenced?

The Biden regime, the control, the Ministry of Truth, the political prisoners, and the continued hatred of Jews is much closer. It is ILLEGAL to use taxpayer funding for political purposes, I guess many Democrats are so used to it they forget. NPR and PBS are essentially branches of the Democratic Party. It's the same with the FBI and Justice Department using taxpayer funding to try and stop Trump from being elected--it's against the law. I think individuals involved should be prosecuted, but the first step is to cut funding.

Have you? Were you outraged when witnesses could speak out against Trump in public but Trump, the defendant, and the leading candidate for president, was ordered by a judge not to speak out and defend himself? What kind of government gags the defendant? This is not about free speech, NPR and PBS are not hindered from speaking, they can go on speaking. What is changing is TAXPAYER funding, the working class of this country should not have to pay to hear wealthy Democratic Party propaganda.

But we wouldn't have atomic bombs or a space program if that didn't happen.

I for one am happy that Big Bird is going to be unemployed. Tyson chicken is hiring.

Savings taxpayers money is important, it results in larger tax breaks for the Americas who matter.

And on savings taxpayers money, why are we still paying Congress since everything is Executive Order?

Yup. I even have it on a t-shirt.

Nope. Because he was on trial, and when he threatened potential witnesses and jurors, it hampered the court's ability to give him a fair trial. Of course, the last thing Trump wanted was a fair trial. And the verdict shows us why.

What kind of government gags the defendant?
Gag orders imposed by the court are limited, and only done when they are determined to be necessary for a fair trial. A defendant who threatens potential witnesses would hamper the court's ability to provide a fair trial.

This is not about free speech, NPR and PBS are not hindered from speaking, they can go on speaking. What is changing is TAXPAYER funding, the working class of this country should not have to pay to hear wealthy Democratic Party propaganda.
And exactly what part of the First Amendment's guarantee of freedom of the press is dependent upon where the press derives its funding?

-- A2SG, if the taxpayers dislike how PBS or NPR are using their funds, they can express that to PBS or NPR...the Constitution guarantees freedom of the press from government interference, which includes viewpoint discrimination.....

Toxic to democracy.

Trump is good for Democracy, look how he has influenced elections in other countries. And don't forget, he managed in 2020 to get the most Americans ever to vote against him.

And, it should be noted that, especially in high-profile trials like this, jurors can be sequestered and are not permitted to read or watch or listen to anything about the trial (regardless of sequestration) - so a witness speaking out in public should have no impact on the verdict. Recently, a judge in my area was tried (and convicted) for attempted murder and aggravated assault after she shot her ex-boyfriend. The fact that she was a judge came as a surprise to the jury once they had delivered their verdict and were allowed access to their phones again.

NPR and PBS each sit on hundreds of millions in assets and have kept receiving public funds despite their ratings or any metrics for content quality. In an age where news consumers have unlimited options, it’s time for them to rise or fall on the merit of their offerings, rather than paying out giant salaries – untethered to performance -- on taxpayers’ dime.

Sure, the jury was protected from his attempts at intimidation and threats, but potential witnesses weren't. And that's largely why the gag order was imposed.

-- A2SG, not to mention the very real threat of retaliation from those who listen to him, and take him seriously....

If Congress wants to eliminate funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, let them vote on it, and do it according to the proper channels.

-- A2SG, if that won't ensure it never happens, nothing will....
