LOLS! Hilarious stuff.

JT was so crazy wildly unpopular. Had their been an election, he was going to be ABSOLUTELY trounced.

Good thing the Liberal party got a truly excellent candidate in Mark Carney.

I never ever EVER would have seen myself voting for liberals again. But when Carney was the head of the national bank during the aught eight financial troubles, I remember thinking "Geez...this carney guy seems really smart". 17 years ago....rambot would NOT EVER say things like that about an average head of a national bank cause I don't know anything.

So I'll give him teh benefit of the doubt. He has a lot of ideas I like...some i'm a bit antsy about. But most importantly, I think he is FAAAR more capable than the other candidates. And frankly, I think if he would want to, he could make Trump look like an absolute moran.

I've noticed that, but when I look around Truth Social, it's mostly MAGA lovers that he is talking to. He can't help what others do with his statements. From what I see is that people use what he says on Trump Social either for or against him.
So what I hear you say is "Trump says something and then people make a personal judgement on what he says".

That's not a particularly groundbreaking event.

What are your personal judgments on what he says? Would Trump sway your vote if you were Canadian? Now, if he mentioned a candidate by name, then yes, Trump interfered.

  • Electoral fraud, illegal interference with the process of an election
    • Vote buying, when a political party or candidate distributes money to a voter with the expectation that they will vote for them
    • Voter impersonation, when an eligible voter votes more than once or a non-eligible voter votes under the name of an eligible one
  • Foreign electoral intervention, attempts by governments to influence elections in another country[1]
  • Illegal electioneering, such as campaigning or wearing political apparel too close to a polling place[2][3]
  • Recruiting candidates with identical or similar names to an existing one, intended to confuse voters[4]
  • Where prohibited, the use of public funds to persuade voters to vote in a certain way[5][6][7]

Oh! To be clear, I have NO problem with what Trump is doing. It's the Conservatives in Canada who WOULD be angry at him (Because up here, he's mostly a laughing stock....even most Cons don't think much of him....and even FEWER of those would be keen to be 51st states) but because he would be advocating for thier guy, how could it be argued to be election interference?

Trump's word gives the OPPOSITE of a bump. That said, the candidates themselves and how they deal with Trump tell us all we need to know; Trump just makes it obvious.

I thought you were an American. Thanks for the insight, and to me, I don't see the importance of who gets elected up there because it won't change what this administration is doing.

"Good luck to the Great people of Canada. Elect the man who has the strength and wisdom to cut your taxes in half, increase your military power, for free, to the highest level in the World, have your Car, Steel, Aluminum, Lumber, Energy, and all other businesses, QUADRUPLE in size, WITH ZERO TARIFFS OR TAXES, if Canada becomes the cherished 51st. State of the United States of America. No more artificially drawn line from many years ago. Look how beautiful this land mass would be. Free access with NO BORDER. ALL POSITIVES WITH NO NEGATIVES. IT WAS MEANT TO BE! America can no longer subsidize Canada with the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars a year that we have been spending in the past. It makes no sense unless Canada is a State!"

Does this improve the dignity of the office of the Presidency of the USA?
Does this improve the dignity of the USA people?

This is what you guys voted for.

On the flip side, did Biden's mental state improve the dignity of the USA?

People don't have to do anything other than sit back and watch and listen to Trump, they will get to that conclusion all by themselves.

Biden didn't pick fights with his allies, didn't taunt them and try to degrade them. This is 12 year old level bullying, certainly not something you would want from your president. If you 12 year old son/daughter were doing this at school, you would give them a good telling off and ban privileges from them.

You mention the dignity of the USA I don't want to get into who's bigger than who. Both are an embarrassment.

I stand corrected, Hans, he did say state but how does Truth Social's social media affect Canada?
It's not about some silly social media site. When the president of the USA speaks, it is a representation of USA.
This is USA.

Poilievre says butt out:

“President Trump, stay out of our election. The only people who will decide the future of Canada are Canadians at the ballot box. Canada will always be proud, sovereign and independent and we will NEVER be the 51st state. Today Canadians can vote for change so we can strengthen our country, stand on our own two feet and stand up to America from a position of strength.”

Personally I think Trump is jealous that people are thinking of other world leaders and not himself. Hence is post to try and make himself relevant.

100% right and
100% right.

I mean, if they won't listen to the Supreme Court, I can't imagine they'll care much about Carney.

Ok.

I'm not a PP fan at ALL but the fact that it is posted in French?

I love it.

And a fine sentiment to hear for sure even from a political rival.
