  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Vandals nationwide have set fire and destroyed Tesla cars, dealerships and charging stations in the weeks following Trump’s inauguration.
“I think a great wrong is being done to the people of Tesla and to our customers,” the DOGE chief told Fox News “Special Report” host Bret Baier last month.
“I mean, Tesla’s a peaceful company that has made great cars, great products — that’s all it’s done,” the 53-year-old argued.

I suppose he'll receive a fine. Walz should fire him.

In Minnesota he may get a commendation from the governor and maybe have a street named after him. Oh, and a promotion.

Good grief. Read the article. He (the vandal) is a state employee, not an appointee of the governor. There are thousands of such people working for the Minnesota government.

Minnesota has a civil service program. Just because 47 is dumping civil service employees and replacing them with cronies doesn't mean that Walz, whose state could serve as a template for good, responsive honest government, does things like that.

It's not a very good government. The light rail transit system is a disaster, it has been rated the most dangerous system to ride in the country. Instead of focusing on defund the police and reparations they should have cleared out drug and homeless encampments at major stops. Walz needs to actively get out there and tell the DFL base to behave.

Good for him. Being arrested for keying the cars of rich people and being arrested for it is an important part of self development.

So the allegation is that Walz created a "toxic work environment" for criticizing Elon Musk, a consultant who took no oath and received no Congressional approval. Musk has used AI to fire tens of thousands, close departments--threatening our national health, food safety, children's educations, delivery of services, etc.
Unlike 47, Walz doesn't fire people who disagree with him and demean and verbally abuse them publicly. They don't work in fear--as federal workers do.
47 has a toxic workforce and a traumatized populace seeing their savings vanish.
A toxic workforce puts employees in fear--e.g. federal workers.
Not a governor who says what most of them are thinking.

The problem with all this lawlessness isn't happening only to rich people. I don't understand the jealousy of rich people.

So is this thread about Tim Walz, dysfunctional government in Minnesota or some random dude keying a car?

Those are not references. Those are opinions and therefore be taken with a grain of salt

Walz has set the tone in regard to Teslas, and there are a lot of progressives in Minnesota. It is disturbing how many think it is OK and even more disturbing to think murdering a CEO is OK.
