  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Latest Gallup Poll--Trump has the worst first quarter approval ratings since any WWII president, not once but twice!

He does like to do things big, even failing spectacularly (as he is doing this minute, taking our country along with him.)

Women, who seem to be the most astute of all the demographic groups, approve by only 34% and disapprove by 62%. Proud of my gender.

His approval rating overall is 45% and was 41% in 2017.

All nine presidents since WWII had much higher ratings.

Even the one who came in second worst, Bill Clinton, had a 55% approval rating.

Owning the liberals is what the American people voted for.
Too much radical liberalism too fast. A lot of which has been aimed at and involved their children. Somehow liberals seemed to think "we're coming after your children" was going to go over well with most voters.

I know a guy in Ohio who had a son. He went to school one day and came home a female cat! Not only did the school conduct a sex change on a minor without parental consent, they performed an inter species switch too! The school even provided a litter box for the new kitten. They had to move to Indiana because the Haitians wouldn't stop trying to eat her.

All talking points brought up by Republicans the last few years without any evidence woven into a tail.

But yes, the Democrats are crazy.

Republican talking points aren't needed. Going by what the left has been saying, advocating and administering is more than sufficient.

I do believe this to be true. The radicals get the headlines, but most voters aren't extreme. But the same can be true in the next elections, and I think Republicans are going to get waxed at the mid-term. All the voters that floated over to Trump will float back to Democrats if thing get worse, plus the long-awaited recession will hit and that won't be good for Republicans.

Voters not being that extreme is exactly what I'm talking about. One of the major reasons why they voted for Trump because the left has become too extreme.

It's too early to make reliable predictions. There's still too much "if" factor.

It says in there that 90% of Republicans approve and 92% of Democrats disapprove. So the numbers should fulxuate pretty wildly depending on what demographic is polled.

None of these polls are matter. The only poll that mattered was President Trump's fair and square win.

In the United States, it is illegal to target or harm someone's child, and such actions can result in imprisonment. It is strictly prohibited to pursue or endanger any children in America.

No labral went after any kids.

We used the "if" factor against Democrats last year. Economic indicators make it more probable. His actions with tariffs have even surprised me.

You are right. About 90-95% of Republicans will vote for the Republican candidate, and 95% of Democrats will vote for the Democrat candidate.

10% of Americans do not support either party. With the Republican party no longer having a pro-life platform, evangelicals like me find it easier to avoid voting for Republicans. We influence which party wins.

Good luck with mid-terms. The US lost over $4 trillion in the last 60 days. Hopefully, the next 20 months will bring prosperity, or Mike Johnson may lose the House by a large margin, similar to 2008.

Whether or not it was used, I still think it's too early to gage how things are going to be going in 2026.

Also the problem with the Democrats wasn't just the bad economy, but that it seemed like they weren't trying to do anything about it, and were instead claiming everything was hunky dory. Whereas The Trump admin is saying there is something very wrong with the economy and they're trying really hard to fix it.

The biggest difference between President Trump's first term and this term is his cabinet and advisers. In the first term, Trump had traditional conservatives like General Mattis, Mike Pence, and Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, who had traditional conservative ideas on how to move the country forward.

President Trump is currently surrounded by supporters who largely oppose many of the conservative ideas from the past 50 years. They are implementing these ideas in a way that has not been seen before. The tariff policy President Trump is implementing contrasts sharply with any GOP policy from the last half-century.

Many parents will disagree with that. Look up parents addressing the issue at school board meetings. I'd post some documentation here, but it's usually too R or even X rated.

Do you have a source? Because the last time I heard from one of Trump's guys on Fox Business, he said 0% chance of a recession, and economic indicators paint a different picture.

Parents expressing dissatisfaction at school board meetings is a common occurrence. Complaints about teachers have been happening for decades, with occasional unreasonable reactions from a few parents.

No they are condemning the school boards for giving their children to obscene material and teaching them bizarre concepts. And trying to concel such from parents on top of that. That's a fairly new situation.

None of these polls are matter. The only poll that mattered was President Trump's fair and square win.
If ever a president needed boundaries and guardrails, it's this one.
In the ill-founded euphoria of his win, Congress rubber stamped his cabinet--including an education secretary who confused AI with steak sauce, a defense secretary who included a reporter in a insecure chat room to discuss imminent war plans--putting American lives in danger; RFK, Jr. who thinks the resurgence of a disease that was extinct for decades can be fixed with Vitamin A (may the children who died rest in peace :(
And a Treasury Secretary who thinks Americans who live month to month on Social Security could withstand an interruption--and would be troublemakers if they complained.
Worst of all. Elon Musk and his Gen Z hatchet men haphazardly and cluelessly using AI to shred the US budget.
But the alarms are ringing non-stop and the Courts and even some Congress members are beginning to notice.
The Courts are trying to put the fire out before it consumes the country and the world--and the defiant (aka independent, proud, and people-centered) international powers are helping, but he hasn't gotten the message yet that he isn't a potentate.
And with women, the nurturers of society for future generations, joining in, we can contain his last and greed for unbridled power.
