  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ah, yes, James Boasberg, a judge who just spent 5 years as chief judge of the "Alien Terrorist Removal Court" on the appointment of CJ Roberts, that guy doesn't know about "alien terrorists" and their due process rights. Sure.

Alien Terrorist Removal Court, 1996-present | Federal Judicial Center

Scotus already ruled he had no jurisdiction in this case. It should have been filed in Texas. This judge does not have the authority. I dont care what he decided about his own case. His verbal order wasn't relevant.

His order was relevant when it was issued. The administration can't just assume how the appeal turns out.

That's not how court works. The ruling must be treated as valid until it is reversed. They failed to heed it and did so intentionally.

US planning imminent military deportation flight under Alien Enemies Act "in defiance of due process and the Supreme Court's order": Sources

A U.S. official tells ABC News that there is planning underway for an imminent U.S. military deportation flight under the Alien Enemies Act.

In a 5-4 decision earlier this month, the Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration could resume deportations of alleged Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act -- but said detainees must be given due process to challenge their removal.

The notice their clients received Friday, according to the ACLU, "does not say that one can contest the designation under the AEA."

"Plaintiffs re-emphasize that proposed class members are being told that they will be imminently removed under the AEA, as soon as tonight," attorneys for the ACLU said.

"The government has refused to give any information about these notices and removals to class counsel despite multiple requests," wrote the ACLU. "Without this Court's immediate intervention, dozens or hundreds of class members may be removed to CECOT within hours -- all without any real opportunity to seek judicial review, in defiance of due process and the Supreme Court's order."

Great news! As I said some time ago, delays of days are one thing, but you can't let rogue judges interfere in the duties of a duly elected president. We have a human disaster caused by the Biden administration, that is a major reason why Trump was elected, and we need to deport the criminals and find the trafficked women and children.

So abandoning rule of law and the US Constitution is great news?

No, it's not good news, and I think these rogue judges need to be held accountable.
This is correct action. People must realize that there are evil people on earth who cannot be reformed. This is no different than the invasions that rattled Europe that led to the undermining of the Roman Empire. Playing kumbaya is not going to work. I do think these judges are out of control & acting on their own premise; they are not making a rational decision. Can one imagine if this was a democratic president doing these decisions from back then. If the goal is to harbor as many people as possible in order to overload all sectors of society so that it breaks financially & socially, it's a crafty & evil scheme. I don't think our left likes our constitution at all & would prefer that it order the people into compliance. One must also note that these persons are not citizens & not entitled to the same process as citizens. After 2001 they got lumped into a category called enemy combatants. Personally I think the goal was to break society financially & create so much strife that the govt ( a left wing one that is) would then declare something like martial law we're changing the system & we're just going operate everything because after we are the govt & govt has always proven itself to be the best. How many govt people are marching the Via Dolorosa today. Remember the 9-11 days when the hijackers first came in to seek flying lessons. With today's logic, it would sound like oh these are folks coming to the great US & seeking higher education. It's their right to learn to fly & this would be a good cultural moment for all of us.

The judges, including the supreme court are not rogue, they are ruling on the law. Denying due process is the rogue, unconstitutional act by Trump. Please stop embarrassing yourself.

The guy is an MS-13 gang member, it is the Democrat senator who embarrassed himself. He shed not one tear for the daughter of one of his constituents whose daughter was murdered by an illegal, yet is all chummy with a gang member who beat his wife with his fists and appeared to be a likely human trafficker. The guy's driver's license was expired when they picked him up with the men in a truck, who had no luggage, and who all gave their address of that of Garcia. This is who Democrats want in our country, but they lost the election, and no judge is going to seize the presidency.

Allegedly an MS13 member, allegedly for the rest as well. All Democrats want is due process to determine the truth and then proceed to deportation if warranted.

No, that's not all they want. The leadership wants to make sure Trump is not successful at whatever he does. Trump has ruined their plans.
Hopefully others will be flown out of our country within hours.

Wanting to stop Trump’s defiance of SCOTUS and the Judiciary in general goes beyond Democrat leadership and into his own party. He needs to be reined in.

I missed the court case where that was determined. Got a link?

Watching him like a hawk were you? How do you know who he cries for?

Funny how when it was a republican it was all "Innocent until proven guilty" and now it is "Insinuation is good enough to prove guilt".

The guy's driver's license was expired when they picked him up with the men in a truck, who had no luggage, and who all gave their address of that of Garcia.
How is this relevant?

It amazes me how you are told over and over what one side wants yet continue to get it incorrect. They want due process. Maybe at some point you will get it but at this point I am not hopeful. It is almost as if you are trying to misrepresent the other side and willfully sow confusion.

SCOTUS temporarily bars government from removing Venezuelan men under Alien Enemies Act

The prohibition came in an unusual overnight order that followed a Friday evening appeal from lawyers representing the men, who told the justices that “dozens or hundreds” of detainees “are in imminent and ongoing jeopardy of being removed from the United States without notice and opportunity to be heard, in direct contravention of” a ruling by the justices less than two weeks ago.

In a brief unsigned order released to reporters just before 1 a.m. Saturday morning, ... the court emphasized in clear language, the government should not “remove any member of the putative class of detainees from the United States until further order of this Court.”

Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented from the court’s order. They did not provide any explanation for their votes on Saturday morning, but the order indicated a statement from Alito would follow – a relatively rare move, but not unprecedented in light of the hour at which the order was issued and the speed with which the court acted.

It's too late for the victims, the women who have been raped, the people who have been killed, and all of those enslaved. We wanted due process for them.

I take it you will not be substantiating any of your claims? Just claiming to speak for the victims when you are not in any way related to them?

We are all related to one another, do not ignore the plight of others.
