People who rose from death with hearts as vast and minds as profound as Jesus, where the streams of milk and honey flow freely, bringing nourishment to both body and soul.

I keep flipping to the Great Banquet in Luke. There are 2 parables: One is when you’re invited, it’s not really for you, & to invite those who don’t get invited. The other illustration is he invites many, but they don’t come, so he invites those who don’t get invited - & there’s so much room to spare he invites more.

Other parts on the page: he heals a woman who was lame for decades. He also likens the Kingdom of God to a woman baking bread or a seed growing into a tree that produces fruit. He tells them many will not be saved who think they are. He also heals even tho people tell him not to.

The Angel’s Chain

I saw an angel from the skies,
With fire and glory in his eyes.
He held a key, so vast and deep
The pit where ancient shadows sleep.

A chain of might was in his hand,
To bind the foe who roams the land.
He seized the dragon, cursed and cold,
That serpent sly, from days of old.

The devil, Satan- tempter, liar,
Was chained in judgment’s holy fire.
A thousand years, the bonds were set,
His power stilled, his fate was met.

Into the pit, he then was thrown,
To dwell in dark, to weep alone.
The angel sealed the gate so tight,
No more deceiving, no more night.

The nations breathed a purer air,
Unchained from lies, released from snare.
Until the years had reached their close,
The tempter slept in silent throes.

I walked with them through Caesarea’s way,
the dust of earth beneath My feet,
and I turned to those who knew My voice,
to ask what hearts and tongues repeat.

“Tell Me,” I said, “what do men declare?
Who do they claim the Son of Man to be?”
They spoke of prophets- John, Elijah,
voices risen from history’s sea.

But I looked deeper, past their words,
to the eyes that had beheld My light.
“And you,” I asked, “My chosen ones-
who do you say stands here in sight?”

Then Simon spoke, his soul aflame,
“My Lord, You are the Christ, the Son of God!”
He spoke not from the dust of men,
but from the breath of Heaven’s nod.

And I- oh, how I blessed that word!
“For this was not revealed by flesh or mind,
but by My Father, pure and unseen,
whose truth eternal eyes can find.

You are Peter, strong as stone,
and upon this faith My house shall stand;
the gates of death shall not prevail,
nor break the work My love has planned.

To you I give the keys of Heaven-
to bind below and loose above.
For what My Father births in faith
will ever live through perfect love.”

And so I spoke beneath the sky,
as Heaven’s mystery touched the land-
I am the Christ, the Living Word,
and all who know Me- forever shall stand.
