  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Despite Disney’s best effort to put out all of the media-frenzied fires, the film saw one of the worst box office performances during opening weekend that the studio has seen in recent years, widely underperforming in projected sales.
The film brought in just $43 million during opening weekend, presenting an uphill climb to recoup the $270 million spent on the production and marketing of the film.

Disney just doesn't seem to get it.

From what I heard, it was Gal Gadot, who played the evil queen, who is driving people away from the film.
An Israeli actress and veteran of their military, she supports Netanyahu's brutal slaughter in Palestine.
I saw Ziegler on one talk show, and she didn't talk politics. Haven't seen Gadot, but it seems like they both need social media consultants.

I suspect it isn't directly related to the politics of any of the actors.

1) It's not peak moviegoing season
2) People are cutting back spending due to slumping consumer confidence. Sales of theater tickets, hotel bookings, and restaurants dining are down 15 percent this past quarter.

Who is the source for your Gadot story?

When times are tough and I have to decide on either eggs, gas, movies, or attending an inauguration, there's nothing amateurs lot of wiggle room.

Gal Gadot was also Wonder Woman. Funny how we can't find American actors to play American superheroes.

So much in this article, but Gadot spoke to the Anti-Defamation League March 5.
The initial controversy was that Ziegler, of South American and Jewish descent wasn't white enough. After all, she had played Maria in West Side Story.
Then people didn't like the AI dwarfs.
There's too much going on to blame the film's numbers on Ziegler's dislike of Trump--a position she shares with most, almost all of Hollywood.

What would happen if a white person was cast to play Maria in West Side Story?

I'll help with the translation; Disney is gushing blood ($$$) right now and is doing everything in their power to cover up the fact that they are all-in with the woke (Satanic) nonsense.
ANY Christian that even remotely thinks ANYTHING from Disney is appropriate needs a LOT of prayer!!

I think that 'fairest of them all' means 'prettiest.' I grew up in a time when blondes got all the attention and I was a brunette, and I do think that in that era the standard of beauty was fair-skinned blondes.

Is Ziegler more attractive than Gadot, who was Miss Universe and Wonder Woman? Probably not, but Disney was, I believe, trying to capture the "inner beauty" of Snow White, who was kind and good to the animals of the forest and the seven dwarfs, while the Queen was selfish, vain, and narcissistic.

She is a beautiful young woman with an olive complexion playing a character with outer and inner beauty--but Disney haters are angry that we've had a black little Mermaid and I guess this upsets some too.

I’m sure that government workers who used to take their families out on the weekend for a movie, are now curtailing their “entertainment“ until they know if the jobs are secure, (or not).

Government workers shouldn't be taking their families out to movies, they should be working 120 hours a week like Elon.

There are 3 million government employees (not counting the military) I'm sure the few that have taken early retirement or gotten an 8 month compensation package are not having much effect on box office receipts
