CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't know what Walmart you've been shopping at.
Walmart is a cheaper store around here. But it's still 9 dollars a dozen where I'm at. And that's the cheap option.

You know what the best part is about Trump laying off hundreds of thousands of federal employees?
The best part is that it won't actually help the deficit.
If we assumed that Trump lays off 200,000 federal employees, and assume a salary of 100,000 dollars (well above what probationary employees make), that's 20,000,000,000 or 20 billion dollars.
Our country has an annual deficit of roughly 1.8 trillion dollars.
So, let's do the math.
20 billion/ 1.8 trillion = 0.01. or 1% of the annual deficit.
Aw shoot, and here we thought that laying off hundreds of thousands of people was actually doing something other than sending the economy into the garbage bin. We expected big savings. But all we got was a nothing-burger.
No wonder the Republican party wants to raise the debt ceiling by 4 trillion dollars. So much for being "deficit-hawks". Oh well.

nahhh he gets all the credit :> Everything was getting better, then in 2 months, he threatened canada with war multiple times that drove people not to buy, then did his idiotic tariffs, fired a bunch of people, put idiots in charge of things, and of course the economy will tank. I was responding to your absurd claim that he did all that in 2 months as if he didn't. Obviously it will get better in time, but that's A) not the case now and B) it will not be better then it was in January, trump has seen to this. He has no clue what he's doing, he wants to make everything about the US without doing anything to ACTUALLY make it about the US.
Remind me, where is all the steel/automobiles/oil and such going to magickally come from now he doesn't want them from Canada. There is a REASON he buys our stuff, you guys can't produce them, and any attempt to turn that around would take years.
