RFK wants to ban Riboflavin, and other "chemicals" he can't pronounce, from foods

While there are definitely chemicals that should be removed from food, whether or not they are easy for RFK (and MAHA Moms) to pronounce should not be the standard. I'm guessing next that we'll hear RFK talk about removing dihydrogen monoxide from our foods, since it is another ingredient that is tough to pronounce. It would be nice to get some experts, who actually can pronounce the ingredients and inform RFK of what they actually are, to help with the decisions -- not a "Food Babe" and a couple of moms.

It is also worth noting, that the woman in white that talks about only using ingredients that are allowed in other countries, the Food Babe (Vani Hari), sells a supplement through her own brand that contains Monk Fruit Extract, which is not allowed in Europe because it is a possible carcinogen. Maybe she should "fix" her own house before going after other companies.

Dihydrogen monoxide kills thousands of people every year. And the Biden administration even allowed it in our food supply!

RFK has a neurological disability called spasmodic dysphonia, which causes involuntary spasms in the muscles of his voice box. Which probably affects his ability to pronounce certain words.

In the future you might want to choose articles that don't make fun of someone's disability.
Maybe Simply Me is preparing to run for president?

That makes RFK’s utterances even dumber than normal because he knows full well people without his disorder CAN pronounce such words and they are thus harmless.

I debunked that years ago. He had joked that way about the indecisiveness in others a few times before. None of the others were disabled. It didn't have anything to with Kovaleski's arthrogryposis.

He wants to ban Vitamin B2?

He's obviously talking about complex food additives. And now the folks who were all about organic foods who would otherwise be cheering him on, are freaking out because RFK is on Trump's staff.

That's his plan of course, to make everyone except billionaires suffer and die. That's Musk's plan too from what I hear. They're all out to get us.

It looks like I got the OP link mixed up with something else. And I wasn't referring to anything the OP said, but rather on what I thought was contained in the link the OP posted. Which turned out to be something different.

Good to hear that we have achieved maximum confusion.

This is a smart thing you said because it's common sense, but the rest of the rant took away from the importance of corporations poisoning us.

Like...riboflavin? Otherwise known as "Vitamin B2"?

Selecting which additives to ban based on how strange their names are is not good policy.

What exactly did he say against riboflavin? And did he say it needs to be banned?

It's one of the ingredients read off in the video, from the list that the "MAHA Moms" group wants banned. He seemed to agree with it.

Look, I get that this was just a publicity stunt (they hand a list of ingredients to people and ask them to read it, then talk about how bad it is that people can't pronounce the names of chemicals and they should be banned), but the official White House social media accounts sharing the video demonstrates tacit support for this stupidity. Whether or not someone can pronounce the chemical name of an ingredient is completely meaningless when it comes to its safety or fitness for human consumption.

I prefer to get my B2 from whole foods, all but organ meat. I admit the B2 thing was dumb, but don't assume the rest could be healthy, Then you have to ask yourself, why does the food need to be fortified with healthy stuff in the first place? The answer is the processing; they strip away and add back in unnaturally. This is why so many Americans are sick, our immune systems are constantly fighting environmental toxins. I love white rice genetics, but I know that arsenic can be a problem with chronic consumption because of my Type 2 diabetes.

Another question: Why are European health laws better than ours?

No, he isn't "obviously" talking about that. He's reading from a list handed to him by the "MAHA Moms."

Did you watch the video? He read it off a list of ingredients that a "MAHA Mom" at the end described as "poisonous."

If you want to know why the "educated elites" treat the right and other, similar populist movements with such derision and contempt, it's because of things like this. The entire argument here amounts to "we're illiterate; we don't understand this; therefore, it's bad".

The OP title is blatant disinformation. At no point has RFK Jr said that he wanted to ban Riboflavin, and the Instagram video in the OP doesn't suggest that he does. He's reading from the list of ingredients in foods, but at no point did he suggest he wanted to ban Riboflavin.

If there's one thing that has stood out to me since Trump's election, it's how the left has become a sucker for propaganda and disinformation in the same way they complained about the right. They are now purveyors of disinformation that aligns with their preconceived ideas. It's amazing what an agenda can do to someone's objectivity.
