  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Penny's I remember those. lol. One Prime Minister decided to discontinue use of pennys.
We still have them in the UK, though since 1971, they have been decimal pennies, with 100 pennies make £1. Prior to that, 12 pence made a shilling, and 20 shillings made £1, so 240 pence made £1.

There was this trick to turn a penny into a corkscrew. In the old days the penny was made of copper, but before them being discontinued, they were just plated tin. So they diminished in value also.

When did vending machines stop taking pennies?
It seems to me the lowest denomination big candy and soda machines ever took was a nickel. The little gumball type machines used to take pennies though.

A lot of self checkout machines don’t accept penny’s for some reason.

What type of coin would be more useful?

A two dollar coin.

A three dollar coin.

A four dollar coin.

A five dollar coin.
None of the above. Just keep it at one, in my opinion.

None of them where I am. A pound or a two pound coin could be useful though :)
