And then once he's elected, he ignores the affordability crisis and now you're claiming he has a mandate to end "woke nonsense".

I also notice how nobody is talking about the economic suffering of Americans anymore.
Except that more will be necessary to set things right and people seem willing to swallow it.

Not me.

Nooo. What I liked was that "end racism" was even more transparent as virtue signalling because it kept a little "edge". Some people could possibly be offended. And some were! This powers up the fake virtue. Until too many are offended.

Who was offended?

I disagree. The idea that something painted in the end zone creates "awareness" is silly, IMO.

I watched the Super Bowl last night and I didn't even realize until I saw this thread this morning that they had changed the text from End Racism to Choose Love. I had to see someone's feigned outrage and then go read an article about it. I probably saw it at least a dozen times, and yet not once did it resonate with me. Why? Because I'm not watching football to read about causes in the end zone. I suspect most others are not also.

Hard to say. But I suspect the people that make the most difference are probably also the most quiet.

Those writings and signs in the End Zone may not be effective for you, but they certainly work for others. If they did not, the United States would not spend 500 billion dollars annually on marketing.

No one complains about Coca-Cola or Pepsi signs at sports events or the billions spent on TV ads during the game, so why is a sign that says "Let's end racism" objectionable?

Advertising pays for the games and exorbitant salaries, can't control that but we do have control over what we buy.

My son has never purchased another Coca-Cola product again (and Coke was all he would drink he doesn't like Pepsi) after the "be less white" nonsense.

We won't give our hard-earned money to a bunch of racists in my family, regardless of who they are racist against. I believe in the power of boycotting.

My son drinks Dr. Pepper now where he feels his money is going to a better company. Boycotts are positive.

That's how Republicans won the election. Listen to the speeches. Count the insults and slurs--driving hate and division--from each candidate.
I'd make a conservative estimate of 100 to 1R to D.
And proof of that is…

Oh, nowhere

Since statistics show Hispanics commit less crimes per capita than the general population, I don't understand all this talk about
the country being flooded with rapists and murderers and terrorists. I am sure that a tiny number may be criminals, but the stats don't back up the "flooding" myth. Where did that myth come from? Trump's speeches.
Pay attention instead to what Musk, an immigrant, is doing. He is more dangerous to Americans than all the criminal immigrants you can apprehend.
Who is speaking about only Hispanics?

Are you not aware that there are people coming from many nations coming in through the open borders Joe gave us?

During a House Oversight Committee public meeting in January of last year it was pointed out that illegal migrants from 181 countries have come into the United States due to the Biden-Harris open borders:

Rep. Jordan: “So you said earlier, both you and Mr. Edlow, said this is by design. This is intentional and I think I got it right that you said three main things about this Administration: stop building the wall, get rid of ‘remain in Mexico’, and release people when they get here. And that incentivizes people to come from, I believe you said 181 different countries. Because they know there is no wall to get over, there’s no wait in Mexico and they’re going to get released to wherever they want to go, is that right?”

Mr. Homan: “Absolutely, the first few days in office, President Biden signed over 90 executive orders abolishing all the policies that were proven effective based on numbers.”

That's definitely not just a few Hispanics come to pick our vegetables cheap... Lol. They came from Turkey, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Russia, China, Haiti (even after we shoveled over billions to fix their country) etc etc etc

I'm just going by the reactions on display here. I dont actually have my finger on the pulse of the whole nation.

It seems to me the people who are most offended are the people who are upset that the virtue signal was changed.

Huh. You can't think of a single black person who's been the victim of racism Oompa Loompa?

He is the ONLY example you can think of?
I think it is racist to assume that black people are the only people capable of being victims of racism. Ironically, some of the most racist people I know are black. I never suggested that Black people are not victims of racism, not that racism isnt an issue in this country. But I believe that racism in this country is not as big of an issue that Democrats are leading on. In the top 100 things that this country should worry about, white supremacy is not on my list.

This is excellent. That is how we should express our views. While I may not agree with your son’s political ideology, I fully support his right to express his views in any way he chooses.

Wow.

A mandate. That word is loaded.

One could also argue that the country "begrudgingly offerred to give Trump one last go at it" because people are financially suffering.

Remember? The financial suffering? That was the thing that was important to everyone. That's what you guys were harping on so hard for so long.

And then once he's elected, he ignores the affordability crisis and now you're claiming he has a mandate to end "woke nonsense".

Nonsense.

I also notice how nobody is talking about the economic suffering of Americans anymore.
If you think it is nonsense, that is your perogative. But refusing to see the reality will only get you another 8 years of JD Vance.

Yes, because telling racist people not to be racists works 100% of the time.

Yes, because telling racist people not to be racists works 100% of the time.

While addressing individuals who harbor prejudices based on race or ethnicity may not be effective 90% of the time, it remains beneficial. Achieving a positive change in even 10% of these attitudes constitutes a notable success.

Dozens arrested in Philadelphia after Eagles win the Super Bowl: Police

Philadelphia police reported nearly 50 arrests following the Eagles' win against the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans on Sunday.

Among those, five people were arrested for assault on police, authorities said. There were also two arrests for aggravated assault, one for recklessly endangering another person and one for misdemeanor disorderly conduct in the third degree, police said.

There were eight arrests for vandalism incidents, including against four city sanitation trucks, two banks and two retail stores, police said. The businesses were all in Center City on Walnut Street.

I would argue that signs that say "end racism" is 0% effective in ending racism. Let's use some common sense for a second. Can you name one example of one person who ended their racist ways because they saw an advertisement saying racism is bad? I am willing to wager that nobody has.

The same logic can be applied to other issues as well. There are many pro-life billboards where I live. Do you know of any instances where a woman changed her decision about abortion because she saw a billboard? Signs and billboards are effective; otherwise, the USA would not spend 500 billion USD a year on marketing.

ok then. The "End Racism" sign should be supported by everyone, not just some left-leaning liberals. I am pleased that we agree on this matter.
No. You misunderstood. I was asking who said that. As for End Racism signs, how many are enough? Should they literally be everywhere? Can the liberalism go ten seconds without saying racism? I think the liberalism's obsession with racism is pathological.
