s. Because people like Florida Gov. DeSantis want to whitewash our history and present false images of slavery's shameful past,

No one is whitewashing history, but we don't live in the past either. We have a now to walk in together, side by side.

We don't do that by pretending this is 200 years ago and no one has culturally changed their views on issues like slavery in the main (slavery is a world history problem, not just an American one).

Some people clearly haven't gotten over our shameful past because they are trying to relive slavery in America and we are fighting against it together, we people's of all races.

Anyone is free to join us. Let's live in the now together as equals.

Just say no to human trafficking, and walk in life the way Christ taught us to walk.

You will be hated and called all manner of slanderous names if you join us and you will often cry, but Christ will wipe away all these tears someday.

I am sorry you took offense at my comment. At no time did I ever connect conservatism to racism.
Racism exists independently in people of differing viewpoints. Because people like Florida Gov. DeSantis want to whitewash our history and present false images of slavery's shameful past, some people have connected racism to his politics. That's wrong.
The manipulation of emotions by other candidates is wrong, too.
I strive to be precise and accurate in my writing.
Racism is a major political tool used by a certain party. It has to appear to be thriving for its use to be effective. And that's what's been going on for a long time now. It's all about manipulating emotions for political gain. I've heard a lot of black people speaking against it and saying the same things I'm saying. Candace Owens, John McWhorter, Glenn Loury, Colman Hughes etc.

Did you ever hear the phrase, "Do I have to spell it out for you?" That's the reason why it needed to be on a sports field. The predeliction of some Americans towards self-deception requires spelling things out. Perhaps having skywriting over the stadium would help, too.

What do you consider an example of self-deception?

You just don't get it. Black folks respect Trump because he was targeted by a weaponized Biden DOJ and still was not intimidated. So please, stop speaking on things you know nothing about.
Oh, please. Black people do NOT respect Trump. Just stop it It's obvious you do. Did more blacks vote for Trump in 2024? Certainly. Bit not because they sympathized with Trump's legal woes. And not because of this sudden great respect for President Trump. Had Biden a) not been so old and feeble and LAX on policies he should have enacted; b) let his ego convince him to run for another term; c) anointed Harris heir apparent; d) and had Harris been a more qualified, articulate candidate; and e) had Democrats been allowed to really hold a primary instead of being force-fed Harris, more Democrats would have voted along party lines. When given a choice between a candidate who appeared to have dementia and a candidate who was an aggressive show-man, they chose Trump. It's understandable. But to blatantly state blacks respect Trump because Biden kept prosecuting him is a fallacy big enough to drive a truck through. As for you, please stop telling people to stop speaking on things they know nothing about. That's belittling and demeaning. Most people on here speak on things through the lens of their beliefs and emotions - not necessarily things they are completely knowledgeable about.

You've heard a lot of conservative black people. Let's be real. You have not heard the average black person who nine times out of ten has experienced racism. Pretending racism doesn't exist, doesn't make it not exist. You may not be racist. You may not know any outwardly racist people. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist and poof! it has vanished. You're seeing the world from your lens, just as others are experiencing the world from their lens.

And yet you're sitting in a thread talking to conservatives from multiple ethnicities and backgrounds and don't even realize it, as you tell us what we think and how we think.
I'm well aware of the post I'm in and you will note that not everyone on this post agrees with you and your sentiments, so it is not a totally conservative post. I thought it was an open post where everybody could share their opinions and not be judged. Are you stating that only conservatives can come on this post and parrot your sentiments - otherwise they're not welcome? What do you have against others' opinions? That's why others have issues with conservatives' views.

Are you not terrified having a president who ignores indisputable facts in favor of the 'facts?' of his own invention. That behavior is called delusional.
Any person who believes so many indisputable falsehoods wouldn't be competent enough to drive a car, much less run a country.
After dealing with the liberal mob since leaving the Democratic plantation, I think I will take my chances with Trump. The people on the red side of things have been much nicer and less condescending to me.

Black people do NOT respect Trump.
I stopped reading after this sentence. Do you not realize that I am Black and you have the audacity tell me who I respect? Let me guess, you are another white liberal woman trying to rescue poor little black me from my ignorance because you know best what is best for me.

You spoke for all black people. 75% or more blacks do NOT respect Trump. You should have preferenced your statement with "I support Trump because...." and no, I am not another liberal white woman. I am a black woman who votes independently because I feel both parties are full of it. The democrats have leaned so far to the left they are about to fall off a cliff and I don't agree with half of what they spout and the republicans have gotten so morally righteous and judgmental that they think they are the morality police and want everyone to emulate them. I didn't like either candidate. I don't identify with either party and I have no idea what is best for you and couldn't care less. You assume too much.

What she is saying is stop whitesplaining to the black folks in the room like we are just ignorant children. You may not want to believe this, but white savior complex is racist. So help "stop racism" by stopping the spread of white savior complex on this thread.

I stopped reading after this sentence. As a black man, I think I have a right to speak on behalf of black people more so than the white liberal woman.

No one is white-washing history? Florida Statute 1003.42(h tried to teach that black people "benefitted" from slavery. That's about as white-washing as it comes. Getting lynched and tortured doesn't sound too beneficial. Your only statement I agree with is that we have to move beyond that tortuous lie. Dwelling on it certainly isn't beneficial.

It's not a matter of it not existing. It's a matter of how much it's being stoked.
