Well put. Realize they do not know it yet themselves. Like many other frequent posters, there are awkward reasons for liking the attention or even the approval of others, while opposing God or opposing truth. The internet protocols and rules do not readily allow exposing their motives in any forum I've heard of or seen. The webpages/forums are self-defensive, for profit, and self-protective. And Truth is not a known nor honored standard on this earth.
I think this is indeed the case. People who troll are usually seeking attention they can't get in the physical world, so they come online and accuse others of not knowing "the truth", which happens to be what they and their small band of so-called "truthers" believe, even when those other "truthers" oppose God. They do not listen to actual truth or reason. Instead they sneer and laugh at anybody willing to debate them. Such activity is against the Lord and is cult-like. A person who is truly for the Lord will listen to reason and think. They do not.
Yes, and I really thought when we had that very gracious post from Apple Sky where she said she had been brought to a change of heart after watching the testimony of a Christian astronaut, that she had really stopped all the nonsense about all the astronauts, including the Christians among them, being liars, ice walls around Antarctica, flat earth, and the rest.
I agree. Thank you for input on this. I’ve been trying to reason with her for what must be nearly a year. Others have too. When it looks like she’s making some sort of effort to understand, she quickly reverts back into the same behaviour patterns of ridiculing and sneering.
As seen happening past and present (and future?) thousands of times every day on forums worldwide, it may be repeating posting sinful errors, without Godly Sorrow to Repentance.
