Godliness vs worldliness. What's the central issue then?
Just up on message. What would you say is the central issue of the video?
But it's pretty much a question to each individual. Whereas you appear to be broad brushing the majority of Chistians as being selfish sluggards.Amen! Very true! But are we sharing more of our surplus with the needy, or trying to get the next best car with it? I can't speak on an individual basis. I can on a national.
It IS three stories!.This is a where I have lived for many years. It was built as a cheap hotel in 1917. It features very small rooms only equipped with a small sink. And I drive a dented up 25 year old Toyota.
Does this make me more godly?

No, what would you say is the central issue of the video?Just up on message.![]()
When I think of that, I look at a comparison of the spiritual system in the world vs the spirituality God gifted us from His own nature, the trinity.Godliness vs worldliness.
Apparently that was the average run of the mill house most people lived in back in the day. I'm going to have to re-read Dickens. It IS three stories!.
Calling someone dishonest and antagonistic, is rather antagonistic, don't you think?I haven't seen many honest questions. Rather antagonism. But is you have any honest questions I will gladly answer.
The majority of America "Christians" are worldly. I did not say they where sluggards. One doesn't afford an expensive house without work. But they seek earthly, rather than heavenly things. But it's pretty much a question to each individual. Whereas you appear to be broad brushing the majority of Chistians as being selfish sluggards.
I already told you. Worldliness vs Godliness. No, what would you say is the central issue of the video?
If that's how you see it... I don't know what to say. When I think of that, I look at a comparison of the spiritual system in the world vs the spirituality God gifted us from His own nature, the trinity.
But the video seems to focus on people pleasing by "not looking too rich"
Yes! You should research it. It's not unusual.Apparently that was the average run of the mill house most people lived in back in the day. I'm going to have to re-read Dickens.
I recall videos put as the OP need to have a text transcript, is there one I can access? If that's how you see it... I don't know what to say. That's not even 25 percent of what is dealt with in the video.
It depends whether it's true or not.Calling someone dishonest and antagonistic, is rather antagonistic, don't you think?
Yes! Here: A Call To Separation: Are We Christians Or Worldlings? – Horatius BonarI recall videos put as the OP need to have a text transcript, is there one I can access?
Thank you.
He's speaking of a symbolic alter, before the LORD. Not an alter in a church.Thank you.
So since it is a progressive momentum, this must be the point
Our time,
our abilities,
our money,
our strength-
are all to be laid upon the altar.
Sounds like a pastor who wants everyone's money and free labor.
I think this idea is already sufficiently integrated into the modern church.
Well, instead of giving offerings to a church, just give directly to the poor. He's speaking of a symbolic alter, before the LORD. Not an alter in a church.![]()
Agreed! And this goes far above monetary offerings. How many of us can say we truly live both parts of the pure and undefiled religion James speaks of?Well, instead of giving offerings to a church, just give directly to the poor.
No need for a middle man.
I am reminded of
He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, And He will pay back what he has given. (Proverbs 19:17)
