Your repetition will not make you correct. Both 1. Corinthians and Revelations make it plain that the resurrection is in stages First the resurrection of those in Christ aka the rapture. Then the resurrection of the living and the dead.
Revelations say there is 1, 000 years between these resurrections.
I Disagree, the Bible clearly teaches the resurrection of "All" takes place at the second coming John t:28-29 on "The Last Day" (The End) John 6:39-40

The Great Tribulation was in the first century AD in "this generation," just as Jesus prophesied.
The book of revelation talks about the great tribulation as well.
It's described by John in chapter 6.

Revelation 6
12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

At this time of great tribulation John wrote that a great multitude which no man could number came out of it from all nations .

Revelation 7
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Now you say the great tribulation took place in 70 Ad.How did this great multitude from all nations wash their clothes in the blood of the Lamb, before the gospel was preached to all nations?

What is the word in the original language for hell and hades? I attended a church where the associate pastor preached that hell was a place where worms do not die and the fire is not quenched. But that is to what Isaiah is talking about. He is talking about armegadda. While some interpret this as referring to a physical place like Armageddon, others see it as a broader metaphor for God's judgment. This was basicly a garbage dump where they took the waste to burn it.

  • Isaiah 66:24:
    • "And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind."
  • Mark 9:48:
    • "where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched."

Hebrew (Old Testament):

  • Sheol (שְׁאוֹל): Often translated as "the grave" or "the pit," Sheol is a general term for the place of the dead. It is a shadowy place where all the dead go, both the righteous and the wicked.
  • Gehinnom (גֵּיהִנּוֹם): Referring to the Valley of Hinnom near Jerusalem, it became associated with a place of fiery judgment and punishment. This term is often translated as "hell" in English.

Greek (New Testament):

  • Hades (ᾅδης): The Greek equivalent of Sheol, Hades is the realm of the dead. It is sometimes used synonymously with "hell," but it generally refers to the temporary abode of the dead before the final judgment.
  • Gehenna (γέεννα): Similar to Gehinnom in Hebrew, Gehenna is used in the New Testament to describe a place of eternal fiery punishment. Jesus often referred to Gehenna to warn of the consequences of sin
I agree that Hades/Sheol was the temporary realm of the righteous dead.

Hades consisted of both Abraham's bosom (for the righteous who were awaiting the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ so that they could enter heaven) and Hell/Gehenna (for the wicked who must remain there for eternity). As soon as a person dies, he is judged, and then he goes to his own place. Hebrews 9:27, Luke 16:19-32

Isaiah 66:22-24
As the new heavens and the new earth
that I am making
will endure before me, says the Lord,
so will your descendants and your name endure.
23 From new moon to new moon
and from one Sabbath to another,
all mankind will come to worship before me,
says the Lord.

24 And as they go out,
they will see the corpses
of those who rebelled against me.
For their worm will never die,
nor will their fire be quenched,
and they will be abhorrent to all humanity.

This passage symbolizes the eternal reward given to the righteous and the eternal punishment given to the wicked.

There are no weekly Sabbaths in heaven. There is only "today" in heaven.

Christians are not bound and never will be bound by the new moon and Sabbath laws of the Israelites/Jews.

The Book of Revelation was written in the mid-60s AD. The temple was still standing when John was told to go measure it. (Revelation 11:1-2) John states that these things must soon take place. Revelation 1:1

Contrast this with Daniel's visions about the time of the end (of the temple):

Daniel 12:4 As for you, Daniel, keep these words secret, and seal the book until the time of the end. Many shall fall away, and evils shall increase.”

Daniel 12:9 He replied, “Go on your way, Daniel, for these words are to be kept secret and remain sealed until the end time.

Jesus also prophesies about the end of the temple:

Matthew 24:1-As Jesus left the temple and was walking away, his disciples came up to him to call his attention to the buildings of the temple. 2 He thereupon said to them, “Do you see all these? Amen, I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another; every one will be thrown down.” 3 As he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached and spoke to him when they were alone. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?

Jesus tells his followers what to look for:

Matthew 24:15-18 “Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation, about which the prophet Daniel spoke, standing in the Holy Place (let the reader understand), 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, 17 the one who is standing on the roof must not come down to collect what is in his house, 18 and someone who is in the field must not turn back to retrieve his coat.

Luke 21:20-21 “When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, you may be certain that her desolation is near. 21 Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains, and those who are within the city must escape from its boundaries, and those who are in country areas must not return.

The gospel was preached to the whole known world before the destruction of the temple in 70 AD.

Acts 2:5 Now staying in Jerusalem there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven.

Romans 16:25-26
Now to him who has the power to strengthen you
in accordance with the gospel that I preach
and the proclamation of Jesus Christ
,
according to the revelation of the mystery
that was kept secret for long ages

26 but is now revealed, and through the prophetic writings is made known to all the nations according to the command of the eternal God to bring them to the obedience of faith—

1 Thessalonians 1:8 Not only has the word of the Lord rung forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but also your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore, we do not have the need to speak about it.

Keys symbolize authority. (Isaiah 22:22)

Because Jesus died on the cross to redeem us, his Father gave him all authority to judge us. (Matthew 28:18) Jesus will destroy death forever by his second coming. (Hebrews 2:14, 1 Corinthians 15:25-27) Jesus is the judge of all the people on the earth and under the earth. Philippians 2:10

When I was around 8 years old, they gave me anesthesia for an operation. I had a dream or whatever you call it where I was falling in a bottomless pit. At the time there was a Jules Verne movie called Journey to the Center of the Earth. I thought maybe one had something to do with the other. Then later on I read about the bottomless pit in the Bible. Even later on I figured out my dream was a dormant volcano. The only place we know of where there is a lake of fire is at the bottom of a volcano. So to be bottomless means there would be no solid bottom. Science tells us a bottomless pit would go all the way through the earth. If you fell into this pit you would go back and forth for a while. Seems to be that eventually you would end up stuck in the middle of the pit.

A nuclear bomb could create a sea of glass. But not a lake of fire. A ball of fire maybe. As Jerry Lee Lewis's use to say. Great balls of fire. Which I suppose has something to do with the passion of love in the 60's. Today we would call it lust and balls on fire. So the lava from a volcano could create a lake of fire that we read about in the Bible. Inner Core: The Earth's inner core is a solid ball primarily composed of iron and nickel, with temperatures reaching around 9,800°F (5,400°C)—about as hot as the surface of the Sun!

That is not possible, this is the Holy Ghost dispensation. People talk about a Kingdom, but the one age or era has to end for the next to begin. Jesus said He had to depart so the Holy Spirit could be given.

John 16:7
“But I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away;
for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you;
but if I go, I will send Him to you.”

Revelation 22
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

He didn't say he would come and leave again.

Jesus is seated at the right hand of God the Father in heaven and he is ruling and reigning over heaven and earth with his saints. (Hebrews 1:8, Hebrews 8:1)

From his throne in heaven, (1 Corinthians 15:22-26) Jesus will spiritually reign over heaven and earth with his saints until it is time for his second coming and the judgment of the nations. Matthew 19:28, Luke 22:30

Jesus came spiritually in judgment against the Jews, using the Roman armies to mete out his punishment against these unbelieving Jews. Jesus does not physically come back to earth until it is time for his second coming and the judgment of the nations.

God came in judgment against people in the OT (Genesis 15:13-15, Exodus 7:4, 1 Samuel 6:19) and the NT. Luke 11:51

Sometimes he used angels to mete out his punishment. Numbers 3:13, 2 Chronicles 32:21, 2 Maccabees 15:22

Sometimes he used other people to punish people for their wrongdoing. 2 Chronicles 24:24, Revelation 2:16

Jan says Jesus already came in 70 AD.
The time of the end of the temple was in 70 AD.

Matthew 24 is about Jesus' future 70 AD destruction of the temple (aka the heaven and earth of the Jews), the destruction of Jerusalem, and the destruction of the unbelieving Jews who will be living in Jerusalem in 70 AD. These Jews rejected Jesus Christ as their Messiah.

This apocalyptic language used in Matthew 24 and Luke 21 is difficult for us to understand two thousand years after it was written.

We would have understood this symbolic literature if we were of Jewish ancestry and living in the first century AD.

I think the following passages refer to the passing away of the Jews' religious way of life, which was destroyed in 70 AD when their city and temple were destroyed. All the practicing Jews living in the outlying cities and nations mourned the loss of their city and temple in 70 AD. All the non-Jewish businessmen living in the outlying cities and nations also mourned their loss of commerce due to Jerusalem's destruction.

Matthew 24:29-30 “Immediately after the distress of those days,
‘the sun will be darkened
and the moon will not give forth its light;
the stars will fall from the sky
and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’
30 “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the peoples of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send forth his angels with a trumpet blast, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Luke 21:25-28 There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on earth nations will be in great distress, bewildered at the roaring of the sea and its waves. 26 Men will grow faint with terror and apprehension at what is coming upon the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 When these things begin to take place, look up and hold your heads high, because the time of your redemption is drawing near.

My opinion is that I don't think these passages refer to the end of time at Jesus' second coming.

We know that Jesus spiritually came in judgment against the unbelieving Jews in 70 AD. He used the Roman armies to destroy them, and by doing this, he ended the Jews' persecution against his Christian followers.

The Second Coming of Jesus:

God's people who are still alive on earth at the time of Jesus' second coming are not mourning. They are eagerly longing for and eagerly awaiting Jesus' return.

2 Timothy 4:8 Now waiting for me is the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day—and not only to me, but to all those who have eagerly longed for his appearance.

Hebrews 9:28 so Christ, having been offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.

You said he came in 70 AD so that would have been his second coming if he actually came

Did he come or not,?

and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’

The temple has not ended.

You don't actually believe God lived in Herods temple do you?

The time of the end of the temple was in 70 AD.
The First Temple was destroyed in 586 BCE, and the Second Temple was destroyed in 70 CE. This means there were approximately 1,066 years between the destruction of the First and Second Temples. The destruction of the First Temple occurred on the 9th of Av (Tisha B'Av) in the Jewish calendar. The Second Temple was also destroyed on the 9th of Av.

You said he came in 70 AD so that would have been his second coming if he actually came

Did he come or not,?
70 AD was not the second physically/bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth.

Jesus came spiritually, not physically/bodily, in judgment against the unbelieving Jews in 70 AD because they rejected him as their Messiah. Jesus used Rome's armies to punish these unbelievers.

Jesus will not come physically/bodily back to earth until the end of time. At the end of time, he will physically/bodily return to earth. The first time he came physically/bodily to earth was when he became incarnate in the womb of the Virgin Mary. The second time will be when he physically/bodily comes to earth at the end of time, and then he will judge the living and the dead. 2 Timothy 4:1, 1 Peter 4:5

I am certain that the Jew's temple in Jerusalem was destroyed before the end of 70 AD. This second temple's construction began during the reign of Cyrus, and it took nearly 50 years to complete if I am remembering correctly. Herod added more to the temple grounds during his reign. Solomon built the first temple in Jerusalem during his reign in Israel.

God lives in heaven.

Psalm 11:4 The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes behold, his gaze examines humankind.

Acts 7:49Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?

If these dates are correct, wouldn't it be 586 + 71 = 657 years between the destruction of the two temples? I don't think there was a 0 BCE or 0 CE, but then I may be incorrect.

It is 1,036 years between when the first temple was built and the second temple was destoryed. I believe pentacost was in 29 ad and the end of the church age will be in 2029 ad.
