"Bob Wilkin and Grace Evangelical Society – The Crossless Gospel, Death-less, Resurrection-less False Gospel

Wilkin’s Gospel is the Most Deceptive False Gospel I have ever found."

I have a feeling this guy everyone but himself on his list.
-
I was not familiar with the person before i posted his list. Was looking for someone who may have compiled a list of Lordship salvation preachers and i must have miss reading about Bob.

I did notice he list 1st Corinthians 15 1-4 as the Gospel

But putting Bob in a Lordship salvation post is nuts. He has quite a log list of complaints about Bob. I wonder why He did not list Zane Hodges, maybe n=because Zane has died not sure.

Idk. I just skimmed through names to see how many I recognized. Needless to say I was surprised when Wilkin popped up.

Hell fire preachers are usually a worked based preacher

You haven't met our Pastors.

They believe in election but are happy to tell you that you'd better act like it.

Lol. They are amazing. I don't even have to go to church to hear the pastor at the church right down the hill and they believe in election too. All I have to do is sit on the porch to get told I'd better shape up. (I do porch church when my pain level is higher.)

If you have 2 hours

Now here's a sticking point I've had with what I've heard from free grace teachers, that I heard from Bob at around 2:12:00.

If you don't believe in Jesus exactly as they prescribe, you're not born again and you're going to hell.

Well Bob is stating the way is narrow. The way is by simple belief, but many just simply can not believe receiving God's free gift of Eternal Life salvation can simply be by belief in Jesus.

Now God is a gracious God, so if a person believes Jesus is The Son of God/The Messiah, the resurrection and the life. Like these verses state. But is also thinking they have to be obedient, etc.. to eventually be saved. Notice the addition of eventually being saved. Which goes against John 5:24 which states they have crossed over from death to life and does not say will eventually will cross over. If they live an obedient life and believe in Jesus.
I wonder what is the object of their faith, but again at some moment in their life they may have believed in Jesus, only God knows about these people who are like this in their beliefs.

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Want to know what a person believes about becoming a born again child of God. Ask them how does a person become a born again child of God. If they give any answer besides belief in Jesus. More than likely the object of their faith is not belief in Jesus, but some action they are doing. Like saying a prayer, hey i said the sinners prayer i am saved. Really where does The Bible say this?

I do not recall hearing a "grace only, faith only" believer say that you can sin all you want - works are not required.
-

If that is the case then you have not been listing to a free grace person.

That sounds just as conditional as the other version. Is the way is narrow supposed to mean that salvation is tricky?

Tricky, no but the path does not have many routes, but only one route, through belief in Jesus.

Not just belief though apparently, but an exact specific belief in Jesus. And it's up to us to get it perfectly right.

I was saved in 1971 at the age of 17. I was in the occult and ESP. I was not aware, at first, that this was not allowed. I recall the demons attacking me in dreams, warning me not to proceed on this path. Threats of violence. I remember reading a Chick Tract that clued me in on the evil of the occult and ESP. I repented then and turned away. But I would ask if I was not saved between the time I believed in Jesus and the Gospel and the time I repented.

Everyone I know of on the free grace 'these people are going to hell' list believes that. So apparently that's not good enough.

And I'm not just talking about Bob Wilkin’s ministry. I've come across that whenever I've tapped into a free grace proponent's video, website or blog.

Free grace folks oppose anything resembling lordship salvation as a bad news false gospel. But they seem to have a bad news gospel too. Which basically is any Christian who's not a proponent of free grace is unsaved and going to hell.

That never really seems to actually be determined by someone's belief in Jesus, but rather by their lack of belief in the free grace doctrine.

It's as if the idea is Christians can thrive on sin and be saved. But the minute they think about repentance, obedience and holiness they're going straight to hell.

I liked the free grace model when I first came across it. But the more I explore it the more troubling it appears.

Show me a Free Grace, going to hell list, from Grace Evangelical Society.

What Free Grace troubles you because it states God's free gift of Eternal Life is simply received by belief in Jesus and not by any works.

That's not the only source of free grace theology. You yourself posted such a list from whoever/wherever so you know they exist. And I have seen others before. They usually contain every Protestant pastor and bible teacher anyone has ever heard of, plus Catholics and Eastern Orthodox across the board.

But you include Bob's ministry in your comment And I'm not just talking about Bob Wilkin’s ministry.

So show proof that Grace Evangelical Society has a going to hell list.

What Bob is trying to do is bring the simple message that to receive God;s free gift pf Eternal Life salvation is simply by belief in Jesus. To a world of Christianity that has corrupted that message with the addition of many other actions from repentance of sin, to obedience, to being baptized, to making Jesus Lord of your life. etc..

If you want to attack him for this you will not be the first one.
