Weirder still, neither do his supporters.Oh they all lied.
The weird thing with Trump is he doesnt even care if hes lying.
It appeared like you were making excuses for him, but maybe you were just making a general observation about politicians.
Two observations, one general observation that politicians will say anything they think will resonate to get a vote and one observation that the electorate believes these lies year after year then clutches their pearls when they are not borne out. It's why I no long waste my time watching presidential debates and campaign speeches. It is all a charade, and I don't want to be a![]()
The reality is, we could have better governing officials, but we don't and it's our own fault.
I’m just going to point out that it’ll be “Biden’s economy” until (at least) September 30, 2025.Oh, but it will be "very hard".
Did those of you voted for Trump really believe he can lower the price of eggs on day 1? Or day 90? Or day 720?
It'll be mostly Biden's government budget for FY2025, and there will be some inertia even if Trump raises tariffs 'on day one', but I expect he will have measurable effects sooner than that if he does anything like what he says he's gonna.I’m just going to point out that it’ll be “Biden’s economy” until (at least) September 30, 2025.
Well, this thread is about this particular liar who said he would lower food prices and is now backtracking. It appeared like you were making excuses for him, but maybe you were just making a general observation about politicians. I don't know. What I do know is this particular dude is a horrible liar with horrible ideas. Oh well, the masses chose him and now we get to live with it.
When Trump says, "Lowering the prices of groceries will be hard but I will do it," he is not saying anything grievous or out of character. So if someone is going to take him to task every time he says something in character that is fairly mundane, then it is the person who is taking him to task who is acting strangely. Trump is a person with a (big) character and various idiosyncrasies. If quibbles as minor as the OP are going to be raised every time Trump talks, all that happens is the quibbler ends up being ignored. The answer here is, "Yeah, that's Trump. And what he said isn't terrible or in need of special attention." The OP is pointing to specks in Trump's eyes, and specks are of course person-dependent.I agree. He should simply be ignored since most of what he says is either nonsensical or false.
Like that guy who joked: "those shovel -ready jobs, weren't so shovel -ready"?Well, this thread is about this particular liar who said he would lower food prices and is now backtracking.
And a good observation, IMO.Two observations, one general observation that politicians will say anything they think will resonate to get a vote and one observation that the electorate believes these lies year after year then clutches their pearls when they are not borne out. Like CNNs Jim Acosta, who mysteriously disappeared for 4 years. So if someone is going to take him to task every time he says something in character that is fairly mundane, then it is the person who is taking him to task who is acting strangely.
Nice post Zip. I say let them tune around with their hair on fire if they want to. We understand who we voted for. A man with a larger than life personality who is going to work hard for us to get things done. He can be as bombastic as he wants. We understand him. I say we don't get all worked up everytime the left wants to get all sweaty and worked up over something he says. If they want to act all crazy, I say we just move on. He's our president now and I really do believe he's going to do his best to make this country great again. Will he succeed? I don't know for sure, but I do know he's going to give us his all to do so.When Trump says, "Lowering the prices of groceries will be hard but I will do it," he is not saying anything grievous or out of character. -Any government politician saying they will or even hinting at, that they have this type of power is disturbing.
What he is doing is starting to make excuses for what he said when he was campaigning. He lied then and now he's backtracking. When Trump says, "Lowering the prices of groceries will be hard but I will do it," he is not saying anything grievous or out of character.
