It was never an issue before that possibly? Science started to really go to town on alternate creation claims about then.

Even though young earth creationism as a view really began to disappear outside of fringe groups around the 18th century, especially the study of geology which showed that the earth wasn't thousands of years old since what they found would have made no sense, and still make no sense.

Jesus disagrees. He even specifically promised that He would send to men His words from heaven when He returned using the Holy Spirit. We all should remember to be very very careful not to blaspheme against this.

Key phrase: when He returned. He hasn't returned yet. And until He returns and says otherwise, then the view is very much up in the air.
But since God created the Earth and the Earth and what it's made up of does not and cannot lie, I'm inclined to believe that God really did create the world and the universe as shown through science, the study of His creation.

It is a pity so many were deceived by the interpretations science offered.

Then what is the point of science and studying the world God made if it is wholly wrong? Why bother learning anything?

That is not true. He promised to send us His words and He did. In particular He specified remembering all His words that were said to them on earth. He spoke to John, and peter and etc while He was here. No one else after He died could apply that promise to themselves, obviously.
But since God created the Earth and the Earth and what it's made up of does not and cannot lie,
The earth does not say anything that calls Scripture a lie. Only the filtered, narrow minded, myopic, strictly creation and God denying creed and program embraced by science produces skewed, made up anti truth scenarios about where man and the world came from

That would leave the words Jesus said as lies. It would leave the old testament and new as lies. It would mean that Scripture was a deception and not from God, but Satan. Guess who has it backwards?

It does put things into a very weird perspective that modern creationism came about in the 1960s.
It all started with the publication in 1961 of The Genesis Flood by John Whitcom and Henry Morris, who went on to found the Institute for Creation Research, the first of the YEC ministries. The book was a rehash of the theories of George McCready Price, a Seventh Day Adventist and amateur geologist who had proposed in the 1930s that the Earth science evidence which appeared to show an old Earth was actually caused by Noah's flood.

You tell me! Some might say the point is to pipe up doubts and lies from hell to lead as many to hell as possible. Others might say the point was to show man without God is hopelessly lost and confused and in the dark. Others might say it is a colossal waste of money. Etc. I personally cannot say for sure what the point is, any more than I can determine a point for a hamster spinning a wheel.

No, I asked you, since you're the one who seems to have the Don Quixote-esque vendetta against science. Answer the question put to you: Then what is the point of science and studying the world God made if it is wholly wrong? Why bother learning anything?

Because that was about the time that Fundamentalist Evangelicals started to get political in response to the counterculture revolution (hippies and opposition to the war, mostly) that was going on about then,

No, said Jesus to men who heard His words and to whom He promised to send His Spirit to bring those words back to them.

Says you. Since I do not believe that God would willfully deceive us with His creation of a world that looks to be 14 billion years old and yet has only existed for 6000 odd years. God does not lie and God's creation, by extension, does not lie.

Oh yeah, I know. It's an absolute mess. American Christianity can be and is a horrible mess, will not make any lie about that.

It would be better, I would think for science to stick to what it knows and cease talking about creation at all. It is far worse than a waste of time and money.

So you think that bible belief increased because of hippies? I think the Jesus people came from hippies, no? They were tired of being lied to.

But if it studies the earth, then it must talk about creation, since there are many facets of science that require studying the earth. So, by your logic... just no study about the earth whatsoever.

Wow. Now if it's not intellectual laziness, I do not know what is.

Parroting the same line ignores the truth pointed out several times to you that all deception rests on the heads of those who forsook God in their little schemes and dreams and alternate creation story telling machines.

You've not pointed out any truth. You've said your interpretation of the Bible, which is not the truth. Just your interpretation.

Also, by the by, nice rhyming, unintentional or otherwise.

No it can study quietly and keep it's baseless godless anti Christ opinions to itself as far as I am concerned, rather than trying to preach from the rooftops.
