Syrian opposition forces have entered Aleppo
From what I've heard, this is likely because of the Israeli attacks on the Heezbollah militia, an ally of the Assad regime.
Hezbollah chose to attack Israel, and so they have decoyed themselves away from being able to support Syria, I suppose.
And Russia reportedly is crying for the fighting to stop in Syria, while Russia is being drained in Ukraine. And so Russia can't help so much to keep control of Syria its ally.
it's no surprise our desire to remove Assad has been on America's minds for many years.
Well . . . look what happened when the United States took down the horrible tyrant Saddam. Saddam was no longer there to stop some group like ISIS which then starting taking over more and more cities in Iraq and elsewhere.
Like that, if you take out Assad, someone . . . and/or something . . . worse might be ready to take over.
It seems to me, that there are Muslims who essentially make an idol out of land: ones have to have their "caliphate". And, once some group gets some land, then, they then might try to take over the whole earth . . . like ISIS was going to try to do. So, any Muslim group of rebels could take down some dictator or whoever, and "liberate" people, but then can be when they will not stop "there", if they are into world domination by Islam.
But a problem they have is their "denominations", fighting with one another. So, no one can get the whole world, without being stopped by other Muslims or other neighbors and not-so neighbors like the U.S.
