Russian troops launched an intercontinental ballistic missile from the Astrakhan region in an early morning attack on Ukraine on Thursday, according to Ukraine's Air Force.

“This was a new type of lethal capability that was deployed on the battlefield, so that was certainly of concern,” Singh said.

Intermediate-range ballistic missiles have a range of less than 3,500 miles. An intercontinental ballistic missile has a larger range of over 3,500 miles, and was developed during the Cold War by both the Soviet Union and the United States as part of each side’s nuclear arsenal.

It doesn't make a lot of sense from a military point of view. IT would be like using a bazooka to shoot rabbits.

Yeah, turns out it wasn’t an ICBM but a newer, experimental missile. Still, using that kind of weapon in the conflict feels like things are really ramping up. With all the pressure on Putin, it wouldn’t be surprising if he reaches for the nuclear button at some point.

Probably within the next 2 months (before January 20) if Biden keeps finding ways to escalate the situation. A very convenient way to use Russia, Russia, Russia as a scapegoat to prevent the peaceful transfer of power. Nothing like a little nuclear war to accomplish that.

Then why is Russia now using NK troops, using ICBMs, and adjusting their nuclear weapons use doctrine if he knows he just has to wait for Trump?
Better question: Why is our current "president" who wasn't fit to be tried, nor to run for re-election--both for the same reason--now being allowed to push us closer to a nuclear exchange with Russia rather than trying to de-escalate things?
