Wow, even the sanctuary of the UN isn't immune to egregious self-indulgent distortions of truth.
We don't even know who invented the spin in the speech.
I don't want to hear what ex-KGB agent Putin lies about to justify his invasion. Sorry.

Putin did not start the war…

“If ever a war could easily have been avoided, the war in Ukraine is that war. If ever a war was needlessly provoked, the war in Ukraine is that war.

The war in Ukraine came about as a result of the Western powers’ single-minded insistence on scooping up every single country on the European continent into NATO, and on expanding the borders of NATO right up to the borders of the Russian Federation.”
Poor Putin crying in the corner...

"It was the EU", a burst of tears, "the EU.." were his last words....before his army invaded another country.

Don't be so absurd as to think that's true.

President-elect Trump announced on Wednesday that he is appointing Tulsi Gabbard to serve as director of national intelligence in his new Cabinet.
In a statement, Trump said that the former congresswoman "has fought for our Country and the Freedoms of all Americans."
"As a former Candidate for the Democrat Presidential Nomination, she has broad support in both Parties - She is now a proud Republican!" the statement added. "I know Tulsi will bring the fearless spirit that has defined her illustrious career to our Intelligence Community, championing our Constitutional Rights, and securing Peace through Strength. Tulsi will make us all proud!"
Maybe she can figure out then why her airline tickets are all marked SSSS. Fitting.

Yeah I think she will be removed from the list. Good grief. This is exactly why we need this change. We have got to get rid of this weaponizing of the government for political reasons.

Tulsi Gabbard has enough experience, intelligence, and wisdom to be a great Director of National Intelligence.
Agreed. Nice choice.

Probably her trip to Syria (to consolidate her alignment with Russian interests). Such a visit is probably triggering for various watchlists.

Great logic, that.

Liberal propaganda! Tulsi is no Russian asset.

She certainly is.

But not because shes getting orders from them. She simply buys the Putin propaganda talking points of her own accord.
She might change her mind when she gets more information.

She might. But thats an outrageous thing to have to hope for in a DNI.
It happens even with presidents. Sometimes it doesn't happen that more information changes mindsets, such as with Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld when we told them there were no stockpiles of WMD in Iraq.

Tulsi Gabbard believes America should come first as opposed and compared to the globalist agenda from the establishment ruling class elites. She is a great choice to be the next DNI.

I think Cheney and Rumsfeld were pre-committed to the war.

Seems to me its a terrible idea to start off with someone who's outlook is noticeably influenced by a foreign adversary and hope something brings them around. For DNI of all things?

More and more I think R insiders value their right wing media channels over professional intel.

Oh, they certainly were. Hadn't you seen the open letter they'd even sent to President Clinton urging him directly to go to war against Iraq? It used to be available from their own website on the Internet (may still be)...they weren't hiding their sentiment. It was written under the auspices of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), a think tank advocating for strong American global leadership. It was sent to President Bill Clinton on January 26, 1998, and signed by prominent figures, including Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, and others who later held key roles in the George W. Bush administration.

I guess we'll see.

Ah PNAC. Youre bringing back memories. Whats with American "conservatives"? They uncritically lap that stuff up, feel burned by it 30 years later, swing in the totally opposite direction where they will acquiesce to actual foreign malevolence. They cant seem to get a grip. My sense of it anyway.
