And Harris rejected the Fox debate on September 4. She performed dismally on the single interview she did where she was challenged by Bret Baier. We saw it. She's also blown other interviews, descending into "righteous indignation" on CBS and the last one she did with a young woman on NBC, I believe it was, just this past weekend.

Viewing this impartially, and as if you don't know who she is or what her beliefs are is very helpful. Few seem to be able to pick out substance from their bias.

As his campaign has said, he's tired. He often seems confused at rallies, one of which had to be cancelled. It's a huge strain on him; he's aged a lot since he lost the last election.

One rally, he forgot everything and began to wander aimlessly, talking about Arnold Palmer's anatomical issues. (link is a possible violation, but if you really care, it can be found)

As the first debate showed, he just isn't up to that kind of stress now.

Well, his Arnold Palmer blovating was certainly worse. Or his claims that windmills cause cancer. Or his idea that we should inject ourselves with disinfectant, or his claim that he actually won in 2020, or his claim that veterans are suckers and losers, or... (very long list).

One does what one can with what one has; I get that. It's just that there's so much stuff Trump has embarrassed his supporters with.

Trump has canceled several recent interviews, and Politico Playbook reported on Friday that a campaign adviser explained to one spurned outlet that the 78-year-old candidate was simply too tired to chat at the moment:

He was never in very good shape, and now he's just not up to the task of running for president. His exhaustion was obvious at the rally where he became confused and started blathering about Arnold Palmer's physique. He's just too old and out of shape to keep focused.

Yeah, I'll give you that first point. He says a lot of better-left-unsaid stream of consciousness thoughts; he always has. He still did a better job and had better policies than Biden-Harris, even with the mean tweets and weird statements.

We didn't have millions flooding over the border and released into the country, including thousands of criminals, per ICE. We didn't have Venezuelan gangs taking over apartment buildings in several cities.
