Putin took Crimea and entered Syria to help Assad under Obama's watch. Putin didn't do anything aggressive when Trump was President. He began the war with Ukraine under Bidens watch. Every President plays their own game. And sending covid test kits to Putin (if he really did) hardly put our national security at risk. So reporting it as if it were somehow evil, is just another attempt to smear Trump with innuendo because they lack anything of substance against him. FWIW, Trump also sent ventilators and other personal protection equipment to other nations around the world.

Well, anything is possible I suppose. But if past conduct is an indicator of future conduct. Then Trumps style seems to have worked with Putin because he played nice while Trump was President. But he didn't play nice with Obama and Biden. One could even make a case that Obama was Putin's puppet.

And then the extreme right came up with all sorts of fruitcake conspiracy theories, some of which were taken up by people who had influence with Trump. Fortunately, in the middle of the disaster, Trump had a fit of common sense, and moved to accelerate the development of a vaccine. So it wasn't a complete disaster.
