  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am sorry I do not buy this weak argument but I guess it is all you have got.
So weak you can't even address it?

Maybe those stupid nonchristians should just let Christians do anything they want so long as they are yelling Jesus is Lord.

It’s persecution if they don’t.

Someone on the forum already suggested that and said Kamala should pay for their defense. So sad. Am I really doing this on a Christian forum?
Trump said that and was DEFENDED defended on here. He said it FOR REAL...not Asa tongue in cheek comment.

And it was defended on Christian Forums. Is THAT shocking foe you? It was shocking for me

Wrong rally.
If they are Trump supporters and heckling Harris, they are clearly at the wrong rally (if you support Trump, go to Trump rallies. If you support Harris, go to Harris rallies.). If they are Trump supporters and want to hear what Harris has to say, another story all together.

I do not believe I will never understand what should be grown adults behaving like 5 and 6 year olds.

Look at the big man himself: Trump at his rally carrying on about the size of Arnold Palmer's.... um... driver.

Given her mother is Indian, its probably fair to assume she has some knowledge of Hinduism.
That's true. Per wikipedia, her mother was Hindu and died in 2009.

He should have shouted "Jesus akbar!"

That would have confused people for a minute.
What many Christians aren't aware of is Muslims actually revere Jesus as a prophet, they just don't believe he is God because they (obviously) reject the Trinity. ;)

Muslims believe only Allah is divine and has no son. Contrary to what some people may think, Muslims do not worship Mohammad.

So they say. The reverence for the prophet does seem to border on worship sometimes.

You need to hear what Trump actually said not what CNN said he said. He did not say she should get the ***** knocked out of her. Or that it should be the consequence listen to the actual words without the liberal glasses on. As to what I shared about what another poster said elsewhere on the forum, they said the man who said Jesus is Lord should be roughed up and Kamala should pay for their defense. Hardly comparable situations. I find it amazing how much many liberals have to invoke Trump to defend Kamala’s mockery.

Ok I will address it.

You think Christians don't have the ability to be rude?
Of course they do but that was not the case here.
If you walk into a Buddhist temple screaming Jesus is Lord you are not incorrect but you are rude.
So according to your analogy Christians are of a different belief system than liberals at a Kamala rally. Or at least liberals were offended by the proclamation of Christ. Ok duly noted.
And I'm not sure how being rude is bringing people to a better understanding of Christ.
You can call it rude but I see it as a believer proclaiming Jesus as Lord in the midst of a public congregation of liberals touting the virtues of the right to kill babies. I guess it is all in one’s perspective.
Care to fill me In? Hope that helps.

Now, now-- under Reformed Theology, politics is very much intertwined with religious-life.

Because politics is intertwined with life and how we proceed with it.

What would have made them stop?

I think nothing. Why were they there to being with?

I think they were there to case a disturbance. They were there to make things difficult.

Truth be told I couldn't make out a single word they said so the fact that we got this far into a thread on thr matter seems like wasted time.

This may come as a surprise to you but the people who attended at that time were there tobhear kamala....not them.
Hence they were being rude.

Why am I explaining the concept of "heckling" to another human?

Seems to me - it would have been the best time to respond in a way that supported the thought that Jesus is Lord - might have made up some ground -

Trump is toxic and still, people defend him.

And then also, Trump called his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, a “sh*t vice president”. Come on, this is the moral high ground?

Why am I explaining the concept of "heckling" to another human?
I guess for the same reason I am explaining mockery of one’s faith for a perceived humorous moment.
