  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You are not welcome in a Harris America

Quite a stir when Kamala shows her true colors. The media helps her out by calling the Christians "hecklers."
The hate and contempt are palpable.
Well they clearly weren’t there to support Harris.

The Christians were reported as saying " “Christ is King” and “Jesus is Lord.”
So, Kamala was assuming that Christians did not belong at her rally and needed to go over to the Trump rally. The thing is, the "hecklers" said nothing about Trump. They said something about Jesus. If you love Jesus... she does not want you. She also acknowledged that Christians are more likely to be pro-life supporters and NOT pro-abortion supporters. And she was right about that.

There may have been some there who said those words, however, the linked video it is clearly “lies, lies”. Regardless, it was all meant to disrupt her rally and her right to suggest they are in the wrong place.

Really, the hate from the so-called "Christians" is palpable. There is a difference between religious law and secular law. More "Christians need to respect the law the the founding fathers laid out. We are not a nation based on religious law but secular democratic law. If you want religious law move to a country that has Sharia law. Then you can live in a nation founded on religious and not democratic law

Freedom of religion... not oppression toward it.
The First Amendment is about the freedom to express one's faith. Even at a political rally. Nobody said anything about "religious law." Straw man.

If you shout something to disrupt a speech, it doesn't matter what you shout, you're a heckler.
Oxford:
a mass meeting of people making a political protest or showing support for a cause.
"a rally attended by around 100,000 people"

I tried to hear from a left wing point of view but hard to find. You'd figure if some pro-Trump protestors started a ruckus it be all over the news at least on MSNBC.

Hate from everyone is sickening. What laws are you talking about that violate your civil liberties? We've had Christians since day 1 in government and there aren't Sharia-type laws today. Our laws are liberal and a reason Sharia doesn't like us.

Is that what she would say to believers during her administration? We know Democrats have expressed these thoughts before. Remember, this is the party of inclusion and pluralism. Where is this famed "tolerance" here? She could have addressed their concerns! No. She just sends them walking, and the "pluralistic and tolerant" crowd supports her feelings. If you are going to make inclusion the flagship of your fleet, you should at least practice it. It is not "tolerance" to only accept everyone who agrees with you.

Probably because it is the right making an issue out of her response. It’s outrage bait for media views.

Odd. Years of "heckling" at Trump rallies. Not a word from the left. Suddenly, it becomes a concern when it happens to Kamala.
Go figure. Once again... rules for thee and not for we.

It’s a rally not a debate, and she doesn’t need to tolerate hecklers. I’m sure there were many believers in the audience that support her so no need to separate believers from Harris supporters.

The “concern“ is coming from the right. I really don’t care that they were there and her response was right on.

The concern is that her attitude toward Christians (that they don't belong here) who believe Jesus is Lord won't change if she becomes president.

She is a Christian. Her response was to someone yelling Lies, Lies. Nothing to do with someone being a Christian. Which she wouldn’t have known anyway.

I wonder what the response would have been if there were black or Muslim people in the crowd "heckling" her.
Can you imagine Trump telling Muslims they were at the wrong rally? The howls would still be shaking the earth.

It wasn’t because of their skin color or their religion. Not a comparable scenario.
