It's not profiling. They were stopped for traffic violations and I asked their status. They were not afraid to tell me because they knew nothing was going to happen.
Some people here illegally do speak English well. There was usually one person who spoke for the group
also, if they knew that if caught they WOULD be deported ( or at least be forced to pleed their case before a judge i court) they may well leave on their own accord knowing that in doing so they would have a better chance of coming here legally.

I prefer that those on the road have a license regardless of their immigration status. The licenses given to illegals and others with legal status state that they are not citizens.
Having a licenses or not does not mean someone is or is not a bad driver and remember with very few exceptions they cannot sstop someone just to see if they have a licenses doing so would result in the case being thrown out even if they had no linences. This means that really if someone knows the rules of the road and follows them there is no way to know unless someone else causes an accident or one of the very few exceptions applies.

I know that now. The local hospital. 48 bomb threats. It's tragic.
If they would deport people every time they tried to use government services I can promisse there would be far fewer here. That means you break a traffic law law you risk getting deported. You seek medical treatment at a hospital same thing ( after being in stable condition.) Enroll your kids in public school same deal. If the kids are born here you make a choice either take them back to your home country and they may reenter the country at 18 or put them in the foster care stsyem your choice. after this close the birthright citizen loophole ( Yes I know that this would be unlikely to happen DIRECTLY, but if word got around that you could get deported for using government services people would likely be less likely to come over here for that purpose.

It's pretty clear that in the Trump's dystopian vision if you cannot prove your a citizen to Trump's standard you are by definition an illegal immigrant to be deported.
Nope if you cannot prove you are here LEGALLY BIG difference.

A driver does have to prove a minimum knowledge and skills to get a license though. I wish the US overall had tougher testing requirements to get a license because they are pretty lax compared to many other countries.

More likely you just end up with populations that do not report crimes, do not seek medical care at hospitals, do not educate their children, and stay as hidden and under the radar as possible.

and if they did either of the latter two and were caught and it involed a minor they could STILL get deported except it would be after doing time in either a county jail for the last one or a state prison with the second one.

They don't get medical benefits except in ERs when they are in life-threatening condition.
True story: 25 y/o immigrant develops kidney problems. Goes to.ER hoping for dialysis. Doctor says:You're not sic k enough. Leave. Eat this, and then come back.
He eventually returned to Mexico which has a national healthplan. SMH.
If you are know any immigrants, ask them about their alleged "benefits." They will set you straight.

Dores not matter if they are here illegally they need to LEAVE and if they do so on their own accord they will have a MUCH easier time comig here legally next time.

I wonder how many people that would be? Let's guess 20 million. 6% of our country.
6% fewer people shopping on our stores, dining, going to movies and shows, etc. That would really harm our economy.
Then of course places would be understaffed as well.
Economic contraction.
Be careful what you wish for. Do they really bother you that much?

Yes you come here illegally you are breaking the law merely by being on this soil. Now, I DO support a path to citizen for people under the DACA program because they had NO say in coming here. However, a PATH to citizenship means that it is still not just given. Also, they need to close the DACA program for any new people.

In the UK at least there is such a thing as a database of police intelligence. So the immigration authorities can investigate at a later date.
The guy that taught me how to train dogs was a Mexican American who worked near the border in Texas. When he was here training us he would go out on patrol with us sometimes and he had contacts that could get something done.

I work in a hospital. They use the ER for a doctor's office. If they sign in they have to be given a medical screening and stabilizing treatment. It certainly doesn't have to be life threatening, they come in for everything from colds to injuries.

Wasn't that a common pattern for all uninsured peoples before the ACA and Medicaid expansion?

Wow they’re practically Americans already.

....so you're suggesting multiple bomb threats within the same week that Trump/Vance chose to push a racist trope is just a coincidence?
Correlation does not equal causation, or so I've been told.
