It doesn't matter ... it's the federal governments responsibility (no matter who is in office) to protect and secure our borders according to current law .... the Biden administration did not do that and Harris was part of that administration ... the democrats (and a few republicans) did put forth a "bill" ... however it was rejected by Republicans because it had "issues" they were concerned with.

It's the federal governments responsibility to enforce current law ... until new law is passed. The Biden/Harris administration did not do that.

It's amazing to me that basic things like this, basic levels of logic need to be pointed out to some people.
To me it is an indication that some people aren't really engaging in honest conversation, they are instead being bad faith actors.

Something like this doesn't need to be spelled out. If people are wanting to have a decent conversation then they need to behave more civilly rather than being silly like this. It kills the flow of the thread and we all just end up frustrated at each other.

So I think that answers quite clearly your question from the OP.

If you want to have an engaging and perhaps informative discussion about the Southern Border, and what the state of the situation is, and what various people in government have done or tried to do to improve the situation, and what other political parties and people have done to try to stop any improvement in the situation. Then that could be an interesting conversation.

If you specifically want to know what involvement if any Harris has had in all this, then that could be discussed too.

Your OP is a loaded question. You try to pin all the blame on Harris, and this is faulty because of course Harris doesn't have the authority you are claiming she has. For example she couldn't unilaterally get the Border bill through. As we know, it came down to a vote and the Republican members voted against improvements at the border, as they wanted to campaign on this issue for the next presidential election. It seems they want the "crisis" to be as bad as possible. That's what they want.

The only way there could be a border problem is if Trump failed at building the wall. In which case, voters who have concerns about the border should be blaming Trump for his failure to build the wall, as well as for sabotaging the recent border bill.

Any alleged border problems are 100% the fault of Trump and the GOP.

The situation was under reasonable control under Trump. It fell apart in 2021 with the current apparatus and there was a GOP House bill #2 that was rejected by their opponents. This is in the article I have linked from the Brookings Institution which is on par with your expertise.
