  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What should I do in order to be set free from these deplorable conditions once and for all? I allegedly have schizophrenia (according to my doctor) and also a very irritating skin rash that is not being healed despite prayers. I think that the skin rash is a side effect from the disgusting antipsychotic medication that doctors gave me. I have no trust in doctors because they hurt me in the past, I was brutally assaulted for no reason by 5 psych nurses and they caused me extreme pain. I have tried every medication under the sun and I'm sick of this fruitless search for the "right medication". If God exists, why won't he heal me? My condition is untenable. I have heard an interior voice that I mistakenly believed to be the Holy Spirit, this voice told me to do things that make no sense, like walking outside in the nighttime in the freezing cold. I thought I received private revelation, however in retrospect, I have begun to question this narrative because the things that I experienced proved to be false. I think I have been deceived when I look at the events of my life in retrospect. I try to pray and to "have a relationship" with God, but it's like he is completely deaf to my prayers and he hasn't sent the Holy Spirit for me to set me free from this deplorable condition, which I suspect is spiritual in nature. I have gone to confession for all of my sins, yet I am not healed. I long to be set free and restored. When will God intervene in my miserable life? What the hell do you do in this abominable condition? I thought to myself that maybe the cause of my illness is spiritual in nature, in that case I need deliverance ministry and/or exorcism. Life was not supposed to be this way. My suffering is untenable, and I need advice on what to do.

Sounds like a core issue.

In general you would need to look at what the problem is objectively, and see what it resembles scripturally, then pray to create the good form to replace the harmful form.

such issues take a long time to solve, since it involves creating something new and also replacing something you're using.

My offering is >

Yes, a mental illness can have things going wrong in a person's brain.

But your real spiritual character has a lot to do with what you do and think. And your spiritual character can have a lot to do with what feelings and emotions are in your personality.

The personality of Jesus is gentle and humble, "and you will find rest for your souls," He says in Matthew 11:28-30. There is almighty power in the gentleness and humility of God's love; this almighty love "casts out fear" with all it's different sorts of "torment" (see in 1 John 4:18).

There are plenty of things cruel and abusive which pretend to be only a physical brain mental illness. But there are things the Bible clearly says are evil things which we all must get rid of.

For example, it you hate someone, we know Jesus says hating is wrong and sin. So, hate would come from an evil source, not at all from only a medical cause. But hate can be very deceptive to make it seem like some sickness that you can't help and that maybe God wants to heal or maybe not. But God is certainly committed to changing us out of hating so we are living in His all-loving love instead.

However, yes the evil spirit of hate can have physical effects on our brains and other things and our health.

But, by getting God's correction of any hate and unforgiveness and unloving anger and lusts and fear and shame, we then can see how our personality becomes once we with Jesus get rid of anti-love things. Such spiritual correction can take care of a lot of what secular professionals consider to be "organic" and "biochrmical". Secular medical people do claim that physical mbv education can not cure a personality trouble. If what I am offering is correct, you can see why > a physical substance can't cure what is spiritual!

And by living in all-loving love this does affect our health and how we feel.

4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.[b] 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.

According to Paul, the verses above state that gifts are given by the spirit to people. Not everyone has the gift of healing, but some people are given it.

If you want healing from your mental illness, all I can do is tell you to seek out a Spirit filled church that operates in the above gifts of the holy spirit.

Don't give up, God wants to help, sometimes we need to walk a path, maybe hard, but God made us lots of promises in his word.
Try to not complain to God, Israel couldn't enter the promised land because they complained too much.

Maybe you could find some people that believes in being filled with the Holy spirit, and seeks the power of God, to ask for spiritual help.
Be careful if you seek where you go though, there some 'snakes' about saying God do miracles through them.

Have you asked God these questions directly? Don't be afraid to be open and honest with him. Tell him everything, and how you feel about it. Ask him why? Then wait on him to answer your prayers. It mat not come right away so just work on things for your spiritual wellbeing in the meantime. Meditate on his word, about what it says you are, more than a conqueror in Him, etc.

Additionally, if your meds are making you miserable, tell your doctor. It can take time to find the combination that works for you. It may be that you need a little more of what you have, or a little less. Bless you.

I'm in a challenging situation myself and I'm learning to take one day at a time. Do what you can for your wellbeing day by day.

Wanted to add this ... Continue to seek God on this. You are in darkness right now (no revelation as to why He appears silent). It may be that there is something he wants you to take from this, like the mistakes the medical field can make and even those of us trying to help. Listen to what he is saying to you now. Share your grievance with him and wait on him to start revealing things to you.

Sometimes God is after something first that he sees as more important than the healing now.

I'm in a situation right now like you. A hard one. I also get aggravated and can even feel somewhat mad at him because i want him to get on with the healing and end the suffering, but i now am seeing various things he's teaching me in all this, and maybe it will help others avoid the same pitfalls.

Keep looking up at Him and how big he is, not on how big your circumstances are because they are nothing to him. Know He is bigger than your problem.

The problem is that I cannot hear him when I pray, ergo I cannot get an answer to my questions.

The problem is that I cannot hear him when I pray, ergo I cannot get an answer to my questions.
It is my experience that the answers don't often come in a voice. Yes, He can speak to us verbally, but i believe that is generally more rare. I believe He speaks to us more by the leading of His Spirit in our hearts, by the still small voice within that tells us this act is not His love so don't go there.

I'm not discarding physical issues. There are near and dear people in my life that have been diagnosed with physical conditions and i would not dream of telling them to quit there meds and such unless God moved me to, but i would advise them to share with their doctor if meds are negatively affecting them and if their doc doesn't listen, find one that will. Ask God to put that one in your life.

That said i will tell you what the voice of the Lord sounds to me the few times He verbally spoke to me. I say verbally, but can't say it was that, just for lack of a better word

God's voice to me has come in an inner voice from within, and i know that i know it is Him.

And God will not say anything against his Word so the more you know his Word and intimately know Him you will be better equipped to know his voice.

If a voice does not come from within, I don't receive it within. I take it to the Lord and ask Him about it and to equip me from within if it is Him.

His Spirit lives in the believer and He will not contradict his Word and character.

I personally don't believe our walk with the Lord will consist in much verbal communication, but in our hearts joined to his.

That said, God has taught me the importance of listening to His voice above all. I'm not speaking verbally, but when we sense something is "off", or something appears right for us.

This doesn't mean we don't take into account others wisdom and such, but we need to be careful what we buy into at heart for our lives. And. Knowing hid Word and intimately acquainting ourselves with Him, or knowing Him and his word at a deeper level by his Spirit imparting that to us, will help us discern his voice.

Here is an example: the devil tells Jesus to throw himself over a cliff then quotes scripture as to why that would be ok, "He has said He will give his angels charge over you ..."

But Jesus knew that although the words the enemy used were words his father spoke in the past, in this instance it did not carry his heart. Jesus had nothing to prove.

Additionally, sometimes something may be the right message or move for us, but fear, anxiety, and worry could be preventing us from hearing Him who equips us with his love and peace.

Ask God to help you with that and rebuke in Jesus name the voices that speak defeat to you, but you also have to work on being equipped within, through prayer and knowing what He says about you and his great love for you.

I'm convinced that a lot of our problems are from listening to other voices over His. Again, doesn't mean we should ignore the advice of others and such, but we shouldn't buy it at heart without his Spirit doing that work, and He won't contradict God's character and Word.

Not saying it is always that, as believers we will run into troubles in this world, but as our Lord said, take heart for He has overcome the world.

Was speaking more about our inner troubles.

Hope i didn't confuse you. Basically, as a believer his Spirit lives in you. He can and does speak to us within. Generally it is in his love and peace, and those instincts that something is "on" or "off".

He can also speak to us more directly, and in dreams and visions, or through another, but his Spirit in us should give witness, or confirmation to these things.

Don't just trust any voice, etc, that you hear in the spirit that does not come from within, and even that should be a knowing that it is Him. And even then you need to know Him because any voice that contradicts His character and Word is not of Him.

Seek fellowship with Him through prayer and his Word, and in fellowship with other believers. I wouldn't seek voices, but direction through His Spirit to lead you within.

Look into this tiny book, Right & Wrong Thinking, Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin. While I’m not a fan of his ministry I did get usable advice from this book.

Here’s a copy of the book review:
Renew Your Mind What you believe is the result of your thinking. If you think wrong, you will believe wrong. But meditation in the Word of God will straighten out your thinking In Right & Wrong Thinking, Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin explores the Scriptures and reveals how you can: - Tap into the powerful connection of thinking, believing, and confessing. - Renew your mind and line up your thinking with the Word of God. - Learn to distinguish the source of your thoughts. - Make the right confession and defeat the devil every time. - Follow scriptural steps to walk in victory in every area of life Chapters include: - Right and Wrong Thinking - Right and Wrong Believing - Right and Wrong Confessing
