Harris campaign spokesman Michael Tyler was asked on CNN whether Harris would commit to a press conference before the end of the month. He actually laughed, then replied, “We will commit to directly engage with the voters that are actually going to decide this election. … We are running a campaign that is built to communicate with the voters that are actually going to decide the pathway to 270 electoral votes. We are confident in the plan that we have in place, and we’re going to execute on that plan.”

What he means by “we are confident in the plan” is that she is not going to answer any questions. None. She will not be out in public answering questions. Hide her. Stow her. Make sure she never says anything.

Because here’s the truth: Kamala Harris is not smart. The truth is, the minute you get her off the teleprompter, she is a mess of a human being.

This thread IS about holding or not holding press conferences, and the utter uselessness of convening a press conference if a candidate answers every question with the most unbelievable malarkey.

Holding a press conference intending to answer with "whoppers" is worse than not holding a press conference at all.

I am not worried about press conferences. Did it ever occur to you that she is showing respect for her boss, the president? The policies are his. The leadership is his. She has been a loyal second-in-command, as she was yesterday, when he announced the first ten drugs Medicare negotiated better prices for.
She was gracious and grateful, leading the crowd in a chant of "thank you, Joe." It is not her role right now to take sole credit for the administration's accomplishments.
Thank God the American public has a candidate who models good behavior to the public--kindness, gratitude, respect, humor, optimism. The qualities of a true leader.

I am making the comment tongue in cheek, but not every thread speaking even vaguely in the pejorative about Kamala has to have. “ but Trump” brought into it.

If those actions and mannerism disturbs you about Trump, why do they not do the same about Harris?

If I was a supporter, I’d not want her to do a press conference either. And I would probably make excuses as well.
