Don't Discuss Religion or Politics!

I have participated in Interfaith groups. To discuss religion, one needs to participate with a view towards mutual respect.
We had Catholics, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Ba'hai, and more. No fundamentalist evangelical churches chose to join us.
At certain times, the Muslims excused themselves to pray. Their phones were set to Mecca time. I was reminded of monastic prayer and the liturgy of the hours.
I would challenge anyone who got to know the Muslim faith community to bear feelings of prejudice or hatred.
Knowledge breeds friendship.

i have an idea . why dont we just all talk about GOD , CHRIST and biblical concepts .
Men aint gonna save us , but they sure will decieve us . BUT GOD HE DONT DECIEVE , the BIBLE dont decieve
the SPIRIT dont decieve . GOD saves , Christ saves and thus why dont we just PUT ALL HOPE AND TRUST IN HE AND HE ALONE
and lets expound on the biblical reminders which would build us up . YOU dont know how often and much
i have prayed for that one thing .

Don't discuss religion or politics in this world actually means no Gospel allowed. To say that no politics or religion should be discussed is the setting forth of a political policy that the Word of God is not allowed.

Spoken by a true incluisivian . but let me remind you , that while i bear no ill will or hate towards any false religoin
WE aint here to find common ground and mutual respect with false relgioins .
WE SHOULD rather be preaching JESUS THE CHRIST , that gospel TO said false relgioins .

SO WHAT ON EARTH DOES THE TRUE CHURCH and false relgioins have in common . NOTHING .
this is a guise meant to merge us as one my friend . being unequally yoked , WILL DO THAT TOO .
Many will have to answer to JESUS THE CHRIST on HIS DAY
as to why they allowed other relgioins to even think for a second that we served the same GOD
and that we just needed to come together for unity and common ground . THIS IS A SNARE .
and by golly its one i am gonna expose . PREACH JESUS THE CHRIST to these poor lost souls
and forget about trying to find common ground or mutual resepct
cause the only way common ground will be found , IS TO SILENCE THE GOSPEL
and just focus on certain good works which is a DEATH SENTENCE . BIBLE TIME fantine .
IF we claim to know , to love and to serve GOD and HIS CHRIST , THEN I HIGHLY SUGGEST
we start reading and LOVING HIS OWN WORDS HE INSPIRED IN SAID BIBLE .
cause many , and i do mean many , are seeming to love on another image of GOD . WHICH aint GOD or CHRIST or HIS LOVE
OR HIS GOSPEL OR HIS MANY MANY TEACHINGS .

Politics isn't Godly at all.

Politics are inevitable. There is a spiritual warfare happening in our hearts and minds. And as Christians in this world, we will face an enemy competing for what image of god/God should be believed upon as true. For what it's worth I defend the faith.

For example, Jesus said the greatest is the one that serves the rest, while worldly politicians (those serving carnal vanity) will see themselves as competing to be the one who everyone else serves. The king of Kings showed a Love that sacrificed self to save others beneath him. He taught about faith in an eternal incorruptible love. The image of god that is of this world preaches a cynicism which some describe as do it to them before they do it to you.

It's always been that way as far as I can remember. My mum and dad and nan were nominal Christians with my granddad being atheist. Church was for weddings and funerals. My granddad was very left wing but I don't know anything about the rest of my family because it wasn't a topic for general conversation.

The same with religion. My mum was the most Christian and did try one time to get me interested in the Bible but I was always on Team Dinosaurs than Team Genesis. When she realised that it was never brought up again.

That's why I find the American norms about religion and politics different and strange.

You see , even i myself have zero hope in politics , ONLY IN GOD
but , this here childeye two , HE or she IS RIGHT . THEY REALLY WANT TO SILENCE THE GOSPEL

I never understood the notion. What about those who literally devoted their life to religion (ministers, priests, nuns, monks), can you discuss religion or politics with them? You can be tolerant without becoming angry or disrespectful.

I've known Muslims I have no problem being myself around.

I've known only a two Muslims who have spoken to me privately that we cannot be friends because of what I say.

The latter are no longer friends. I don't hold it against them...and frankly, appreciate the honesty. Same could be said of a few Christians as well.

To love others as you would want to be loved is a principle of moral truth that objectively is without hypocrisy. The hearing and understanding of it manifests a mutual faith. Whereas to the contrary it is misunderstandings due to subjective semantics of terms that creates bad experiences and subsequently causes a person to arrive at the conclusion that it's best not to talk about religion or politics.

But its not a "never". Its more about situations where the discussion could devolve into acrimony and ruin conviviality.

I agree with this sentiment as intended. However, I know people where those are the house rules.

We might learn much by conversation , but much of what i have learned and heard through conversation amounted
to , not much . now its true the heart o man can be expressed at times through converstaion .
For i have spoken to many and they have spoken to me . And what i heard from their lips
DID NOT HONOR GOD OR CHRIST , even from the many who used HIS name .
I am not against conversation .

There is no reason to argue; they have already heard the Good News and rejected it and have no intention of coming to God. If they are your parents or children I don't advise never speaking to them again.

We can not add or give the increase . but what we must do is speak the truth .
I want to show you something real quick that JESUS himself once told his own desciples
After he had taught and spoke to the peoples .
THEY had come to him and said , LORD dont you know that what you said offended them .
I will give you an A a B and a C choice .
DID HE respond with , A . OH DEAR , we better tone things down , we dont want to offend or drive them away
lets go back and talk differently .
B . Oh dear , maybe we should offer them some coffee and donuts and perhaps try and evangelize another way to them .
C . LEAVE THEM BE , EVERY PLANT that my FATHER has not planted shall be ROOTED UP .

We don't hear the Good News much these days. Mostly it's about rules that must be obeyed whether you accept the Good News or not.
