Tampon machines in school restrooms?You left out now young boys have access to tampons in their restrooms. How very caring and understanding of the young boys needs.
Gee, down here in the South we'd never do that. Poverty rates so high the girls can't afford them.
The underpaid teachers tried to keep sanitary supplies in their desk drawers to help out girls in emergencies. Then someone started a charity to help supply the schools and my ladies group gave them $300.
Now we have a referendum on the ballot to remove sales taxes from these to help poor girls afford this "luxury."
And although this Minnesotan law, passed that way because Republicans said they'd challenge it as unconstitutional if only some bathrooms were supplied (that's what my son says) seems silly, at least girls can afford to buy these vital health supplies.
