I'm not complaining. It was a great message from the democrats that it was a big mistake to vote democrat.
Why? because they’re savvy enough to not back a dead-horse?
It was Biden’s decision, the people voted for Biden because they wanted Biden to make the “correct decisions” and his opting out of the Presidential Race, was one of those decisions that these people agreed to back. And mostly, they’re okay with it.

The only pushback to Harris’ campaign as being somehow “illegitimate” has come from a right-wing sources, like they feel cheated out of Trump whipping Biden (on his third and final? try to win the popular vote).

Because voting democrat put a cognitively deficient person in the oval office. The only reason why the American public wasn't more aware of it at the time, is because it was hidden from them and they were gaslit and lied to right up until July 21st. "Oh he can do it, he's totally in charge, he's sharp as a tack, totally on the ball" and they obviously had him juiced up on who knows what. So we now have a cognitively deficient and drugged president.

And now the gaslighting has switched over to Harris. Up until July 21st she was basically chopped liver. Then overnight she's suddenly touted as a pure gold wonder. Kamala in the sky with diamonds

Fool me once, shame on them. Fool me twice, shame on me. (Not that I personally was ever fooled by it).

I'm not sure she can't win (the media plays a role in shaping people's minds). It's not like during the Dukakis/GHWB election when probably everyone knew that Dukakis would lose, lol.
America was also fooled into reelecting Bush via fake terror alerts that magically disappeared immediately after he won.

He seemed okay in ‘21, it’s a tough job for a forty year old. He lost a step (or five), and stepped aside like a statesman he is, because he’s not driven by his ego or have an “only-I” attitude that thoroughly describes the GOP nominee.

He’s agreeing with you: he’s not fit to serve another term, you got what you wanted, Biden is out of the race.

It’s like watching a dog catch a car. It really is sometimes.

As I recall when he debated Trump I expected him to bumble and was surprised at his performance. And it was then that I suspected he was on some kind of performance enhancer.

And sorry, but in my opinion a true statesman wouldn't have had to be forced to drop out. He would have done so of his own volition, and way before then. Provided he was even capable of reasoning that out.

If the electors want to let themselves get conned into voting for Harris the way they did with Biden, then America will end up praying an even bigger price of even less prosperity.

Doesn't sound much worse than Pelosi staging a coup to force Biden to drop out.
I wasn't sure about Trump. But as his term progressed I was experiencing good results and the nation as a whole seemed to be fairing better. Therefore I became satisfied with him as president. Whereas with Biden it's been the complete opposite. And I expect it to get worse with Harris at the helm. It seems with most people who hate Trump it's all about his personality. Whereas for me it's about results.
I remember the pandemic, the 1 million Americans dying as he denied science and even tried to prevent the scientists from promoting policies to make us safer.
It was as if he pretended it didn't exist it would go away and not ruin his statistics.
A former co-worker, age 35, died of COVID, leaving 4 children and a widow. He was a true believer in Trump. His last FB post was a meme of Trump hitting baseballs with Biden, Obama, and Hillary faces.
Another young man was on the wait list for a heart transplant after COVID.
I remember how we almost lost the Affordable Care Act until John McCain, battling brain cancer, came in to defeat it. A true American hero.
It was four years of chaos, and anything good that happened was pure luck.

No, what makes it right is that all the rules for nomination in the Democratic Party have been followed, and should Harris be given the nomination as the Democratic candidate for President, she will be on the ballot in the general election, where the voters will decide on the next President.

If she's elected, it will only be after the voters decide.

-- A2SG, same as every other president...well, with one exception.....
No, she was not vetted through the normal process. She was pushed through.

We are forced fed all the candidates anyway, even when they are vetted through the system normally. As if Hilary and Trump in 2016 were the best options.

Yeah I posted earlier that Trump lost the election because the media convinced enough people that Trump was to blame for Covid and Biden would save them.

Because of Obamacare I lost my basically free health insurance I had through my employers from 1993 to 2011, and ended up being without for about five years. I'm sure there's millions who experienced the same. But our story wasn't really told by the media.

He ran the country with virtue and integrity.
I sincerely hope this the Trump campaign tries to use these sorts of talking points. The stark contrast with reality will just reinforce with voters how his administration really worked.

For a significant portion of the electorate, that's enough. How much is yet to be seen. I think the author of the OP article underestimates how much Trump is disliked.
I wouldn't even characterize it as dislike - pretending it is just a personality issue been a tactic of the right to whitewash his first administration. Instead, there are deep concerns about his ability to lead the country given his past failures.

I think Trump lost in 2020 because enough scared and paranoid Americans were convinced by the media that Trump was to blame for the results of the pandemic in America, and further convinced that Biden would fix it.
That's not wrong. Even there, it was more of an anti-Trump vote than pro-Biden.

Ah, so you fell for Trump's promise to swap out the Affordable Care Act for “something terrific,” details to be determined.
The plan that would be cheaper and more generous than Obamacare. It would be “so easy,” It would “take care of everybody,” even though “nobody knew health care could be so complicated.”

By 2016 the company I work for went union and I was finally able to get actually affordable healthcare. So I didn't pay much attention to the details of the Trump plan, much less fall for it.

I hope there are deep concerns about GOP policies overall. Trump implemented ~65% of the Hertage Foundation's guidelines last time. They've outlined their goals this time.

Trump has been succesful speaking to working/middle class families who feel they have been abandoned. He tells them what they want t hear, that they've been abandoned and put upon. But in actual policy he continues to ignore the need(s) (as with his great "healthcare plan") or continues the neo-liberalism, trickle-down, supply-side, horse and sparrow policies (like the Heritage Foundation promotes) that have been gutting the middleclass all-along. In short, he's a snake-oil salesman.

Anti-Trumpism has always been largely fuled by fear mongering. And the pandemic of course excellerarated that greatly. It was the perfect storm.
